The allergic and those subjugated by parents or landlords can now rejoice: Nintendo DS will let you have the dog your opressors never would. Nintendo recently announced that Nintendogs would have 18 different breeds, three more breeds than the Japanese version (for once we win!).

The breeds will include chihuahua, Pembroke Welsh corgi, miniature pinscher, miniature schnauzer, Siberian husky, Shih Tzu, beagle, pug, Yorkshire terrier, boxer, German Shepherd, shiba inu, toy poodle, Labrador retriever, cavalier King Charles spaniel, Shetland sheepdog, miniature dachshund, and golden retriever.

Nintendogs will sell as three different cartridges, each containing six different breeds of dog. I'd say it's a shame they don't include pitbulls, but this game is about training awesome dogs, not fighting legal battles.
