DS Lite Hits First Day of Summer for $150?

A retail tipster sent us word that the DS Lite will be hitting the U.S. on June 21, the first day of summer. Most stores will be landing DS Lite demo stations the day before the portable goes on sale. Our tipster tells us the DS Lite will sell for $150 and that only white is listed so far.

    June 21st? No Mario bundle? That's odd. Anyway, if it's that late. I'm glad I have my shiny imported Navy blue Lite to keep me happy. There I said it. I'm a bitch.

    I heard the imported versions have some kind of bug ? Cant confirm it though.

    Aww, the next month and a half online are going to suck. Rumors and news tibits will be released about the DS Lite and entire forums will start criticising Nintendo and lamenting how they will not buy the DS Lite or how they will totally buy the DS Lite. Heck, it's like... $150? White only? That's cool, I'll take it.

    I can pretty much guarantee it won't be out on June 21st although earlier that week is a safe bet. June 21st is a Wednesday and Nintendo never releases anything on Wednesday's. Their games always ship on Monday and they've always released new systems on Sunday's.

    This is the part where I wonder if the extra three months of time with my imported DS Lite was worth $49 + $36 for shipping. Yes. Yes it was.

    I follow a pretty simple heuristic when it comes to Nintendo products: if they make it in lime green, buy it. You hear that, Nintendo!? Make it in LIME GREEN!
