No teary-eyed editorials or virtual consoles for the Dreamcast, oh no. When it comes to remembering Sega's fallen hero, only one form of tribute will do: good, old-fashioned bronze-cast immortality.
Art student Lydia from Canberra, Australia, had a bronze-casting project to do, and bless her, she decided to pay homage to the dearly departed Dreamcast. The controller, VMU and Rumble Pack are all separate, removable pieces, are solid bronze and the whole shebang weighs in at about six kilos (13 pounds).
Awesome. More pics of the masterpiece here.

Thats pretty cool.
I wish my vmu still had batteries, so I could.....wait, what could you do with them again?
Sweet. When will it be on eBay?
That pic looks like a well crafted turd
art student does laziest project ever?
If that weighs 13 lbs, how much would the original Xbox controller weigh? My guess is 30 lbs.
@Darkedge
That's a wax cast. She had to carve it out of wax first, make a mold with sand, melt out the wax and fill it with bronze. Hardly lazy. And it is one of a kind. There will never be another like it, ever.
Kudos to this woman, very skilled, even making the rumble and the VMU separete pieces! Nice!
Mrfuzzy - could be done with a plaster mould, then wax, etc.
It's not that clever or hard to do - separate parts is a nice touch though
was that controller still useable? She could have gave it to me so I could give it a good home!
Dreamcast = Art!
That looks suspiciously like chocolate.
This is relevant to my interests. Very nicely done indeed.
