While the rest of us were busy forgetting that Metroid Prime Pinball ever existed, Europeans are getting fired up for the game's June release. Yep, Nintendo of Europe is about 18 months late getting around to pulling the plunger on Samus Aran's pinball adventure, as the other territories have had access to the game since October of 2005.
Hell, even Australia got the game in 2005. Europe really is the unloved stepchild territory of the gaming industry. It must really take a long time to translate some of this stuff into German. Glad to know someone finally found the local equivalent for Gunship Multiball.

I wonder if it will come with the DS Lite Rumble Pack? Any word on that?
did europe ever get the rumble pak for the ds? it's not like it's very important, but MP:P was the first game to support it.
@SanjiX:
pooie
I don't know how gamers in Europe can stand this treatment. I'm surprised gamers in Europe haven't staged a coup and raided the NoE headquarters yet.
Haters be damned. Metroid Prime Pinball is one of the best pinball games out there.
But, I'm sure anyone who wanted it in Europe already imported it long ago. :V
I wonder why the game industry hates Europe so much.
@BPMΩ: Is a "good" pinball game significantly worse than a "bad" pinball game though?
The only one that ever interested me at all was sonic spinball. And I was like 10.
The rumble pack's been available in Europe for a good few months now. You can only get it direct from Nintendo and they've not publicised it in any way, because they don't like money.
i bought that game and have never looked back. i love pinball, and i love the way that game played. just recently got my fiance addicted to it. i'm sorry europe you had to wait so long, i do hope you get the ds light rumble pack. [:
This hurted really bad back in the SNES days (oh you know the drill: Final Fantasy III, Chronno Trigger, Super Mario RPG to name the most commom trio), but by now its just every day news.
But to be fair, things really are much better these days. Not in my country, Portugal, tough... thank the Gods for the Internet and e-Commerce.

German for multiball can't be that hard. Mehrfachball! See. I just did it. Throw in Gewehrschiff (gunship) and you're good. Many, many germans speak english anyway, so it can't be that hard to hire someone to localize it.
@explodingman: Its not really hate, just... were #3 world market, were always not a priority.
The U.E. motto "In varietate concordia" (Latin for "United in diversity") wich is all true and good, but when it comes to videogames, means heave localization work for each country, in order to have it translated to it's natives tongues and make sure it respects each countrys laws regarding videogames.
It's tricky, and the reason why we got God of War 2 over here without HD and with the sex minigame censored (and natrualy, very, very late...even after the PS3 was out...yes, that late...) and why we will only see Super Paper Mario in September.
We get used to this all the time... ~_~;
What pisses me off so much though, is why don't Netherlands and UK just get the english game early? It's not like they actually need to do stuff for it, and the last Nintendo game localised to dutch was Lufia.
Oh, and please notice that DS has no region locks, so anyone who really wanted this game and had a internet connection, already has it with the rumble pack when it was release in the US of A. I forgot to mention this obvious fact on my previous posts.

You know, Europe never got Warioware: Twisted either...and that is probably the GBA's best game...
High prices, late releases, if ever...sucks to be a European gamer...
To be honest, Metroid Prime Pinball taught me to love pinball. I had only played pinball as a kid and never understood the idea of goals and progressions and such within a table. I always just had a blast keeping the balls in play as long as possible. After MPP I've got a much better appreciation for what it is to play pinball and my only regret is that this knowledge came to me so late in the lifespan of pinball.
I picked this up almost half a year ago at K-Mart for $3.50.
It's actually pretty fun. Even though it came with the older DS rumble pak, I can't complain since it was practically free.
I imported this a year ago from NA. I thought the game was great and the physics good, but disappointed by the lack of levels. The rumble pak isn't that good either. To me it is the perfect time waster when I am travelling on the Tube.
I liked it for brainless summer action.
Speaking of neglected European gamers, have ya'll gotten King of Fighters XI yet, or has it been pushed back to another part of 200X?
It's a great pick up and play game, but definitely not enough levels. But what's there is great
It's already in the bargain bin here. Found a copy for 10 bucks at circuit city.
I picked it up about a year ago from an importer purely for the rumble pack. When I found out the game was completely awesome it was quite the bonus.
wow - 18 months later? that's just crazy.
crazy.
psst... its 10 bucks or 5 bucks over here. get it on ebay or something
Wow, so you guys over in Europe get that Playstation 2 yet?
Yeah, man, they made another one. They got a game for that called Katamari Damacy, it will blow your mind when it comes out four years from now.
Damn, it's like they're stuck in a fucking time warp.
Or in Nintendo's case, Minus Zone.
Something tells me if this were Sony or Microsoft, it would be a world pandemic.
Sometimes region locking is good...
I just don't know why Nintendo does this? Why! NoE! Why?!?
Iwata himself says that the DS sells better in Europe than the USA, but Metroid Prime Pinball 18 Months later? Thats worse than Animal Crossing! (24Months, but lots of Translation, and making it incompatible to US and Australian Versions).
I myself have Imported Metroid Prime Pinball about a year ago, and it's a blast! I love that game.
And the best thing about it being late?
Metroid Prime Pinball RRP £29.99
Take off VAT and that's 50 bucks.
Pokemon Pearl/Diamond not out until at least next month, maybe July, probably later really (Ranger only just got released). £29.99 when it does, yet I can import it and pay the VAT and still it comes out at around £22.
Import FTW.
The DS delays, I can live with, the thing is'nt region locked so if I really want a game I can get it.
What pisses me off royaly is the Wii games. Trauma center hasn't got a release date and I'm thinking it's not gonna come out here at all (it was one of the reasons to buy my wii at launch, that and twilight princess), paper mario will be released but also doesn't have a date yet.
I'm quite sure somebody at nintendo gets paid to find new ways to annoy us Europeans. He's gonna get a big raise at the end of the year for going above and beyond the call of duty.
