Han smacked the Falcon's bulkhead and got it working. An old friend of mine used to have a monitor that would never work until you slapped it - real hard - on its backside. Now 360's are getting in on the old-wives-tale remedy action, with increasing numbers of people reporting they can "cure" the three red rings of death with a...towel.

They're saying that you wrap your busted 360 in a towel, turn it on, leave it on for 10-15 minutes, turn it off, remove the towel and turn it back on, and it works.

It sounds like complete hoosafudge to me, but I'm not going to go breaking my (miraculously) malfunction-free 360 just to prove a point. That's where you lot come in. If you're nursing a dead/dying 360, give the "towel trick' a go and report back if it works. Luke Plunkett
