    DIY DS Lite Overclock

Back before the DS came out, the Afterburner guys started quizzing the GBA emulator community (as in, the community writing emulators for playing on the GBA) about interest in a service to overclock their SPs. The theory was that this would allow everyone to play emulated SNES roms on their SP.

Obviously, that petered out when the DS was announced... but over a year later we still don't have an SNES emulator, let alone an N64 emulator. So I wonder if this Japanese guy's overclock mod for the DS Lite will have any practical applications whatsoever. He managed to get the DS to go about 1.7 times as fast, but unless you're going to pump a game through the machine that will capitalize on that, it seems little more than a curiosity.
