The Dell XPS M1710 laptops with custom World of Warcraft paint jobs that Michael Dell hinted at during his CES 07 keynote are currently on auction at eBay.
The two-of-a-kind custom airbrused Burning Crusade Edition notebooks are painted by Mike Lavalle and are currently well into the $4000 range. Not that crazy, as a similarly equipped XPS would set you back at least $3700 without the fancy artwork or Michael Dell signature. Plus the proceeds go to a good cause.
Still, watching the outrageous winning bid price should be entertaining to note next Thursday.

Call me uncharitable, but why in the hell would I want Michael Dell's sig screwing up a perfectly good custom paint job?
I could find a WoW decal, put it on a better laptop, and get a better end result. Putting art on a Dell laptop does no good, because no matter how hard you try you can't polish a turd.
It is pretty cool that it is going to support good causes though. I don't want to sound like a completely heartless bastard :P
Irixyu-
While Dell does make a lot of substandard products, this laptop isn't one of them. I have a buddy who has one, and it's a pretty quality machine.
But I agree with you, I think just getting a WoW decal and slapping it on existing stuff is a much better idea, especially in a year or two when you've sworn off WoW and don't want to stare at it anymore.
What you guys are all forgetting is that the Laptop will probably explode in 2 months anyways in the heat of a PvP battle!
So how much more is this machine? Because I could do some custom artwork for significantly less and it could even be your character.
The thing that makes it a WoW laptop? There is no off switch.
I realize it's just a typo, but "Processor Speed:
233 MHz"?
Not much for gaming.
