Red Octane is getting into the Black Friday Madness with some pretty decent savings on Guitar Hero III bundles. Holy hell...its still damn expensive. ._.;;
In related news, Best Buy is giving away Guitar Hero II if you buy an Xbox 360 there on Black Friday. A "ticket" is required, so go out drinking and show up there in line at 3 am.
Why can't you buy the GH3 guitar separately yet?
I guess they "forgot" to include the Wii version. Can't say I'm surprised.
Nevermind that the PS3 version has sold horribly in comparison.
maybe that's a deal they'll have?
I still need to figure out where I'm going to camp out Thursday night...
no extra wii guitars?!
Not GH related, but they're also running a deal on DDR SuperNova for PS2.
Game and 2 x Dance Pads for $100; about 50% off.

Wow, why do these cost so much? I remember that the original GH for PS2, including the guitar controller, cost like $70 or $80.
Man, for that kind of money I'd just throw in an extra $20 and pick up a copy of Rock Band.
meh
Eh, Rock Band seems to be the better game anyway.
"Pick up a PS3 bundle with a rechargeable battery kit for just $130, or $20 less than it would normally cost without the battery."
That cannot be right. The retail price of GH3 for the PS3 is <$100
@Daz_Genetic: yeah, good point
Okay maybe I'm not doing my math right but these prices don't look right. For instance, isn't the PS3 wireless bundle w/rechargeable batteries normally $129.97?
@Daz_Genetic, Mark Wilson, 3xChaos:
If you look at the link in my previous comment, there's three open spaces with question marks, and one revealed space with the DDR deal. It would appear that the GH listings in the OP are standard fare, and the real "deals" are yet to come. In the original email from Red Octane, the GH bundles are listed under "New Arrivals". FWIW.
Meh. Let me know when they come out with a bluetooth PS3 guitar. This piece of shit thing that came with it is simply unusable.
what are you simple? yes it took me 5 mins to connect it the first time (BIG WOOP) but now its set and easy.
The PS3 guitar so far is the best one out but what do I know.
Hmm... So where are the wii extra guitars? Really hurting over *hear* (that was an accidental typo, but its referring to the mono-only support too!).
@crunk:
Assuming you're responding to my comment, I'll respond to yours. (I'll even refrain from insulting you. Unless passive aggression is insulting, in which case I may already have.)
I wasn't refering to the ease of connection. True, that is very easy. I was refering to the 100+ millisecond lag that crummy wireless guitar has. Sure I can use the lag calibration, but then the visual cues are all off. So I can either play by sight (I have to hit every note BEFORE I hear it) or, as I prefer, play by sound (I have to ignore the fact that by the time I actually hear the note the dot has long passed the marker).
Is it possible to play like this? Yes. But it's REALLY frustrating. I managed to get to the Slayer song on Expert before I finally gave up.
From the lack of outcry on this issue, I've wondered if I'm the only one with this much of a problem with this.
Anyone?
Whatever happened to the days when RedOctane sold DDR pads.
Let's not put those extra Wii controller shells up there to sell a bunch! Because I am sure none of the thousands of people who bought the game for the Wii want to play it with their family or friends during the thanksgiving weekend/holidays...
