PC pretty boy Crysis has long been rumored—probably a result of platform envy—to make its way to the Xbox 360 and PLAYSTATION 3, with Crytek regularly denying said rumors. Recently, however, Crytek boss Cevat Yerli has given hope to those who want to shoot the bejeezus out of hordes of nameless soldiers and alien invaders without investing in a new graphics card, telling PC Gamer that "Crysis could be on the 360 or PS3." Oh, really?!

CVG re-reports that Yerli also issued a quick caveat, explaining that "It requires optimization, that's what we've always communicated. What you would not do is make Crysis on PS3, 360 and PC for a single shipping date, because we would lose the quality focus."

C'mon, Yerli. Let's make this happen. I hardly turn on that Windows box anymore, so make with the Crysis console ports posthaste!
