Angry Mobs Seethe Over Knights of the Old Republic Riot

knightsold.jpgThere's quite an angry buzz growing over the ending of Knights of the Old Republic II. Apparently the end of the Star Wars game left a lot to be desired. Some ingenious gamer starting digging around on the game disc and says he found several cut scenes that were never used in the game. The popular thought on this is that Obsidian rushed the game to market and just didn't get around to wrapping the game up with any sort of storyline, instead just leaving bits of cut scenes laying around on the disc unused.

The initial post on this grew to 45 pages of rants and demands and Obsidian finally shut it down with no sort of official comment. But you can't keep a good Star Wars fan down. An online petition popped up, which has since grown to more than 6,200 signatures. A seperate forum ran also popped up on Lucas Arts' site.

The backlash even splashed onto the Amazon selling pages for the Xbox and PC version of the game, with hundreds of fans writing scathing reviews about the game. That can't be good for business.

I predict flaming torches and pitchforks next, unless Obsidian or Lucas Arts decides to get off their proverbial high horses and respond to the outcry.
