Halo fans with a little walkin' around money will need to start talking to building contractors, like, yesterday, as the amount of Halo, Halo 2 and Halo 3 licensed everything is going to require it's own room. At Comic Con, Kotobukiya, Wizkids, McFarlane Toys and Gentle Giant showed off a ridiculous amount of Master Chief stuff coming this year and the next. Pics of nearly everything in the gallery below.

Now that the trilogy is more or less finished, let the milking of the Halo franchise, begin anew!
That's a lot of stuff! I wish Grim Fandango had this sort of merch :(
At least the stuff looks cool.... I guess.....
There's way too much stuff. I'm still waiting for Princess Peach's Castle :(
@Laser_iCE: Noooo, Manny. =(
That definately is alot of "Merch."
Some of it looks cool, while some looks utterly pointless!
Still neat though, I am not complaining...
=]
@Laser_iCE: Are you shiting me up the ass? GF??? What fucking century are you living in?
Retro gamers....
behold!! the most over-hyped FPS in history!!! get the bundle with your HaloBox mod!
what's wrong with GF? I liked it
@MasterOfPastures: Get back to playing Resistance youngster.
I sincerely hope the game turns out good. This over-whoring of the franchise to every type of toy imaginable is beginning to remind me of The Phantom Menace merchandising...
@Crunshii: ...Okay.
Anyways, that is a lot of stuff. I'm still waiting for my tin Halo lunchbox.
As much of a fan as I am, I've got almost no interest in most of this stuff.
@Psychotext: He doesn't own a PS3....
@Crunshii: Yea it was revolutionary at its time, but now its just another FPS to me, don't get what all the hype is for... its so... meh
Never played halo but i do like the master chief figure. i would buy that.
@MasterOfPastures: Well I was hoping you could tell me, because I sure as hell don't get the roman system.
Anyway, as for GF, it is still one of the best games I've ever played. The humour along with the storyline and developed characters are still yet to be matched in my opinion.
I still have my CD's around here somewhere, in the dual cardboard CD holder.
They are all action figures, not really milking. It's not like there are Halo-themed amusement parks, water bottles, and sleeping bags.
@Karttikeya: Only some are action figures. Bunch of the pics are game pieces for the Halo Action Clix game
I can see the headlines today, hundreds of kotaku readers recieved neck strain after viewing a gallery of Halo 3 images that were not rotated for correct viewing.
seriously, content before quality?
Am I The Only One Thinking About A Certain SpaceBalls Scene?
Merchandising. Merchandising! Where the real money from the game is made!
Halo the tshirt! Halo the coloring book! Halo the lunch box! Halo the breakfast cereal! Halo the FLAME THROWER!
(kids love this one)
I want the controllers. People may hate them but I think they look pretty cool. And Kubricks! I want those Kubricks.
@Kyle81:
They are still action figures. Whether they are made for board games or improvisation.
Capitalism! NOOOOOOO!!! I'm not gonna lie though, a lot of that stuff looks pretty cool. I would probably buy some of it if I wasn't a broke teenager with only enough money to buy 2 games the whole rest of the year.
Damn, need to make more room on my desk for some action figs! Giant hunter would rule!
Imho Halo is not overated. Halo 2 yes but Halo CE and the upcoming Halo 3 no. It will still be the best console FPS for a long time to come.
Well, at least McFarlane is doing the figures now. Joyride or whoever it was that was doing them before didn't do the greatest job on them in the past. The colors were all wierd and stuff. McFarlane figures always seem to look nice and if the Master Chief prototype is any indication they might be fairly poseable too. That'd be cool, maybe I can get an Elite who can actually stand up on it's own. Then McFarlane just needs to make Killzone figs so I can have a sweet Helgahst vs Elite battle.
@Crunshii:
i suppose if it was some final fantasy 189b tactics vs. B or some other sony PS franchise it'd be the greatest thing ever, huh?
why aren't you in your parents basement rubbing your ps3 on your balls as you cry?
dtoid and kotaku both should ban you.
Biggest Milking company is Square enix ! Will halo be still milkable in 2009 ?
@Karttikeya: "It's not like there are Halo-themed amusement parks, water bottles, and sleeping bags."
Give it time, man, just give it time.
@Nymo: You sir, just cost me $4.00 at Blockbuster!
Classic! /Applause
@Top Shelf 333: Actually that sounds like fun. I'd go to the amusement parks!
So when is the kubrick halo game coming out?
Damn, I'm amlmost proud to post a positive comment and feel good about it. Everyone seems to have taken it with a good dose of just "I like the Halo universe," versus retarded comements of no worth. I'm proud of you Kotakuites (?). Then again, I'm pretty drunk and shouldn't worry about getting this post online.
You know at first I was excited about Halo 3, but than I started hearing about it all the time and I see so much freaking merchandise and stuff, I'm already tired by a game that isn't even out yet.
Kubricks are nice. and the mini MC's are nice too..
but it's the last one.. if they don't get the merchandise out when will they?
@Kyle81:
I don't know about revolutionary, but FORGE sounds fun as hell.
Playing with a real-time map editor, while others can still be active on the map as it changes? I don't know how that doesn't sound fun to anyone. It's fun enough to be able to customize the maps (everything short of geometry -- so weapon spawns/timers, objectives, vehicles, etc.), but to be able to hop in and out to customize, or to be able to have people still active on the map when you delete the Mongoose from beneath them, or drop an Elephant on top of them...
Don't get me wrong, I will really enjoy the single-player campaign, but FORGE is enough to convince me this game is worth the hype.
I like the MasterChief mini-figures but the controllers are so ugly...
I don't like the kubrics at all, and I thought the company that has done the Halo figures the last few years did a good job. They were both posable and they were wel balanced. Worth the $15 a piece and my son loved them.
@coin_operated_boy:
Hehe Coin hope you do read both on my Kotaku & Dtoid posts, because I specifically mention how the FF is over-hyped, over saturated in all the FF milking has been awful and hurtful to the series.
FF used to be a appreciated game but ever since Hinorobu left its been a milking cow spring of FF games. So please do "Sir" find another over-hyped game like Halo I blabber about like theres no end to fit your argument.
Did you go to the Halo Universe panel? That really wasn't so much about the Halo universe, especially since they couldn't talk about anything at all, and more about Halo products.
I really regret going to it.
How many different ways can you make a Spartan look exactly the same? :S
@Crunshii:
look, point is, your earlier post was a text book example of rain-on-the-parade trolling. if you hate it so much, what in god's name are you doing in a post about its licensed merch?
just so you know: usually when i see your comments, i just have a good chuckle and roll my eyes. but dammit, man, you're getting lazy. and "halobox"? last time i checked, the 360 had the biggest library this side of current gen river. and halo, like it or not, is still largely considered to be the pinnacle of console fps.
I personally can't wait for much of this - Esp. the Gentle Giant statues.
BTW - It loooks like it's just one case worth of stuff & a statue
I was hoping to see the plasma rifle & plasma pstol...
