I can see the PC is not dying! As a matter of opinion, it seems to be the best choice for gamers wanting both PC exclusives, and the best of the consoles. Oh, and the controls rule. That last sentence reminded me of how I sounded in 1982!

Seems rather cartoony compared to the last iteration of SoF. Hopefully they don't get rid of the hyper-violence that was so prevalent in the series. Otherwise, why bother making a third?

I like the trailer but everything I've seen of this game so far screams budget title. I think it'll be a bad move on their part if they release this at $60. There's no way this game could possibly compete at full price with everything else coming out in the next few months. Especially with Call of Duty 4 already getting a perfect 10 score in the first review I've read (OXM).

It bothers me that developers make mediocre games that go out of there way to get banned just so they can garner publicity to sell copies...

Granted the poster that was seen, I'm thinking Activision thought their IP had no more value in the market until they saw the overwhelming response from the audience after the info got leaked.

Quite an interesting direction they're going with the game.. I suppose it's easy to get lost in the fray of the archetype FPS. Good to see them going the way with a more open and less serious tone for the game (and in the character models too).

That's interesting. I'd like to know how it plays, though. That trailer makes it look like just another generic shooter. I have yet to check out the storyline, though, so that opinion may change.

The character is a little generically extreme, but that voiceover is pure brilliance!

Forgive me if this sounds ignorant, but I had no idea there was a "Soldier of Fortune" series of games before reading that plot synopsis. I stand by my original statement, though. That sounds like a generic shooter to me.

Man does that guy look so full of hatred in that clip. There really is nothing but nonstop killing in the trailer too. I'm not quite sure why people seem so enthusiastic about this game, to be totally honest. The thing even makes a big deal about calling you a pansy ass pussy if you get anything less than a hard-on from the action. Seems like a totally pointless game to me. I've already pretty much written it off

I just wet myself a little bit, with a big cheese eating grin on my face. I've played SOF at least 50 times, cover to cover. I've played SOF2 possibly 30 times, again, cover to f***ing cover. No other game series has given us real men who like to blow shit up a similar make believe experience like this one has. That's a wordy sentence - deal with it, pansies :^)

There has been an online petition for this game for 2+ yrs now. I thought all hope was lost. You guys do NOT know Activision, if you think this game could suck even a little bit. This game should be their flagship game. This is what PC gaming is all about in my books.

Look, you sit at work, bored and nervous all f***ing day long, and you want to kill your boss at least 20 times each day but you sit there and you take it, and you keep your civility up ALL day long because that's the kind of guy you are. But when you get home, you want to pop in some SOF3 and when you shoot the bad guy's head with a 12-gauge, you want to see it disappear in a vapor cloud of blood, see the headless corpse crumble slowly to the floor.

In your head you're thinking "this is my dick of a boss", so you shoot the corpse a few more times for good measure, pleased that the designers made it so realistic that each time you shot his leg, for example, a new wound appeared, and after 4 or 5 shots from the 12 gauge, the leg is just a blood stain on the ground. It's not really your boss, and your boss is in no danger of dying in such a horrific manner. But you feel a little bit better, and you sleep a little bit deeper that night.
