This new WoW ad starring Mr. T is seriously the funniest thing I've seen on the internet in some time. I really have little else to say, since I don't want to ruin the fun of watching it. But it did occur to me that much of our readership probably doesn't even know who Mr. T is from anything but parodies or Wikipedia...which caused me to douse my body in Rogaine, divorce my 25-year-old wife for someone 10 7 years younger and ride off into the sunset in an undersized convertible stuffed with gold clubs. Hit the jump for it and the William Shatner spot, which while fully post-worthy, can't contend with Mr. T.
These spots almost make me want to play WoW again. But then I see the scars on my hands and back away.
World of Warcraft Commercials [blizzard] Thanks Victor!

Brilliant
Nice ad campaign.
A-Team for President!
Anything Mr. T = Win.
I really need to unsubscribe my wow account.
Bwahaha!
Needs more "Rest of the A-Team" tho.
Hi I'm Murdock. And I'm a bird! I'm a plane! I'm a choo-choo train!
I want Christoper Walken and Chuck Norris for the next batch of ads.
Reporter: Mr. T! Mr. T! What is your forcast for tonights raid on the Undercity?
Mr. T: ... Pain....
Mr.T would be way overpowered with all the enchantments he could fit on all that jewelry. He must be a jewel crafter.
Lol
Nerf Night Elf Mohawks.
Shatner Is a Tauren.
I think I am in love.
Priceless. I must do what the T says. No one says no to him.
Mr. T advocating hacking = priceless.
Greatest, adverts ever. Without a doubt.
Now thanks to shatner i know how to hurl lightning bolts.
MR T is the greatest!
Once when I was a kid, My parents took me to Vegas. We were staying at the Ballys hotel. When we went to the pool, Mr T was also swimming! I jumped in, swam over, and asked him "Mr. T, Why aren't you wearing your jewelry?" He responded, "Fool, if I was wearing my jewelry, I'd drown!"
That actually happened, and it is my favorite random celebrity encounter ever.
Haha... the Shatner one is pretty good (go Tauren!). And I do hope that plenty of commenters know Mr. T from his A-Team days ;)
Dear god, YES!
11 years younger. Trust me, it's the magic number (as long as you are at least 29).
I met Mr. T at a planet Hollywood a few years ago. I didn't know who he was at the time, just some big guy with a bad haircut and a ton of gold plated silver-ware around his neck (I think he was doing a promo for some soup or something)
i just quit last month then the 2.3 patch comes out and now this
OMG warcraft leave me alone
Mr T and William Shatner urging me to buy WOW?
Thats awesome and all...but im not budging untill Bruce Campbell tells me what to do.
I pity the fool who griefs Mr. T.
Haha... Please, make one with Jeremy Irons, an Undead Warlock...
Awesome
Honestly, I didn't find it funny at all. Maybe I just hate WoW too much to appreciate the advertisement's humour?
@Naurgul: Shut up foo!
If I ever start WoW, I'm gonna roll Night Elf Mohawk.
The Mr. T ad was pretty funny. Although, Mr. T playing something as uh ..*magical*.. as an elf? I don't think so. Either way, a funny ad isn't going to get me to play an MMO. No thanks.
I could watch that Mr T. clip all day long.
Ok, for the next commercial they need Mr T. in a PVP match with an Orc Chuck Norris. Who would win? Would Azeroth be smashed for all eternity?
So awesome
@Naurgul: Consider yourself pitied, like some sort of jester
All hail Mr. T, almighty hacker and proficient computer user.
I think I liked Shatner's more... I guess I have a soft spot for him.
Good ads, though.
I only learned a few days ago just what the crime was the A-Team didn't commit.
I know, I should be ashamed of myself :(
"I'm Christopher Walken, and I am an undead warlock...O and I play World of Warcraft too."
This is win. Though Blizzard hasn't done ads before really (except the Office Space one) and with 9.3 million already playing, imagine more to get sucked in.
I was sucked in a while ago lol.
I pity the fool who disses my Night Elf Mohawk!
Did Shatner just call me "Dogg"? I need to watch that again...
Yep. William Shatner just called me Dogg. Much love to Mr. T (B.A. Baracus 4 lyfe) but until he can harness as much concentrated awesome as William Shatner, he's going to take 2nd place.
Oh, and @GrapenutsRobot: Chuck Norris stopped being funny about a year and a half ago. As soon as you transcend the realm of internet meme and start showing up in multi-FWDed emails from my mom, it's time to hang up the LOLs.
Nothing personal to you, however. This is just one of those FYI memos. I'm trying to keep everyone updated. Thanks.
CRAP! Okay... I'm sold. I'll freakin' buy the game tomorrow.
What can I do? They have MR. T! I lose. We lose. Every gamer out there who doesn't play WoW... we all lose.
OMG this is the win
I pity the fool who crossesmy Mohawk!
I wish Shatner could conjure up some spare time for me so i can play :P Seriously...
Mr. T is always hilarious even when he's not trying to be. While this is pretty good, I don't think anything is funnier than Mr. T's cartoon show except maybe the parody of it.

Still, doesn't make me wanna play WoW though.
O.o, this makes me want to play again =(!!!
this doesn't make me want to play WoW nearly as much as it makes me want to apply for the position of casting director for their next wave of ads...
@Samaridino: I concur. I've already bought a case of Old Spice, taken piano lessons, voyaged to the Andes mountains, and voyaged as crew on a cutter to Madagascar because of that man. If he makes an advertisement for this, I'm in!
God damnit! I quit over 2 years ago and I've done so well...and now this...no, no, back away...just think, "Warhammer, Warhammer, Warhammer..."
The thing is, with 9+ million people playing the game, does Blizzard really need commercials? Its unnecessary and yet completely awesome, as are most things that are awesome... and involve Shatner.
Mr. T rocks. He's looking good for his age (172, I think). Shatner is looking like more of a mannequin every day.
Good lord, those are fantastic.
100% awesomeness.. To bad my wife threatens with divorce if i go back to playing it.
Where's Face??
meh.
That is awesome. I'll never go back to WoW, but their new commercials are fantastic.
This is really good stuff. Would be great to know who came with the idea ... a creative agency with WoW addicts or geeks @ Blizzard.
@Samaridino:
*Looks around*
*Engages in secret cult hand shake*
Bruce Campbell in one of these ads would just be too much. My credit card would be out in seconds.
Funniest thing I've seen in decades.
Pity the poor fools who are beguiled into playing this skinner box.
@StrikerGold: Geico doesn't need their commercials either, but they're still awesome.
i pitty the fools who don't know who mr t is.
Great commercials but having no impulse to go back means I've finally kicked the habit. If Shatner can't draw me back, nothing will.
@Seiven: LOL
ANYTHING with MR. T in it is brilliant! Best Ad in years!
A team and Rocky were my two favorite performances by MR. T and i cant forget that cartoon he had ^-^
@Samaridino: Ahoy mate! Fell into the same Old Spice trap I did, huh? j/k.
Bruce Campbell rules the Earth!
The Mr. T ad deserves props, I haven't seen a game ad that clever since that run of Ratchet and Clank jackass ads.
I'll admit, shamefully, that it even managed to tickle my now-vestigial WoW centers; nothing a bit of light scourging can't fix though.
PURGE THE UNCLEAN!
