I don't know if it's the slight Scottish brogue or just that, like most gamers, I'm deeply in love with the song Still Alive, but this video of Scottish Frag Doll Kitt fulfilling a promise to sing a song with Jam Sessions is adorable. More so because she's singing the Portal song.

Comments
This was not a triumph.
I think it's probably just the fact that we all love 'Still Alive'
Wow, that's actually impressive. So you have to click buttons for each chord?
this is getting kinda old now
@bigman88zz: NEVER!
I'm sorry, but that's about 1000X better than I could have ever done with a DS and a microphone. Much kudos and applause for the song. Excellent job.
Totally made my day.
Am I the only one who's actually looking forward to HannaH Montana Music Jam on the DS?
Heck, a naked, balding, bearded, beer bellied man missing 2 limbs could sing this song and we would all still cheer for it cause of how cool 'Still Alive' is and forever will be.
@kidko:
Actually, you hold different directions on the game pad and strum the "strum bar" on the DS screen to produce the sound. Jam Sessions is a really cool little tool to play with.
Yawwwwnnnnn!
Looks like Tycho really is a prophet.
Im scared. D:
THE CAKE IS A LIE!
Someone had to say it!
haha Kitt OMG she's on my myspace!
I've just noticed the main point in this article... Nice looking girl, likes portal and is from Scotland. I must find her and hug her.
omg it's like they jumped from 8 to 16 bit she totally sounds like an upgraded voice for the computer. Thats a good thing.
ARGH SCOTTISH ACCENT! I can hardly stand it! I hate my own voice enough.
*sounds like this in a recording too*
actually this wasn't 1/2 bad.
My vocal skills tarnt very good. My cat runs away afraid when I sing in rock band.
@Automageddon: hannah montana has gums growing over her teeth
shes like, gum girl or something
This original, but using this for the music
frag dolls remind me of christian rock
I think she has a cute voice.
In Soviet Russia, Portal song sings you!
Whoops, wrong entry!
Not a bad effort!
Would.
Ok, maybe I will pick up Orange Box for the PS3 now. The fence straddling continues . . .
@SPni - Bored, Tired and slightly drunk!:
I like this plan, I must join you.
I toyed around with Jam Sessions a bit, and I think she did a pretty good job with this. It's harder than it looks. This song is WAY easier to play on a real guitar than it is with Jam Sessions. But this makes me want to have a downloadable version of this for Rock Band. Because it would be fun to sing and actually get graded on it by the game. Yes it would.
Being a Scot, I find a massive amount of Who Cares?TM about her accent. Not like I can't wander anywhere in town and hear it.
Now a hot Irish redhead singing this...
"Ok, maybe I will pick up Orange Box for the PS3 now. The fence straddling continues . . ."
N.B Game does not come with attractive Brit, or DS or Jam Sessions.
Who could get sick of that song? I didn't listen to it for 2 weeks and then listend to it again and it was like hearing it for the second time all over again!
(Nothing beats the first time)
Totally miss the drums coming in when she says Aparture Science... still, good fun for all!
The simple fact that so many gamers are so batshit in love (myself included) with this song makes it all the more odd that Portal isn't winning soundtrack awards. I mean, yeah yeah... Rock Band, Guitar Hero, sure... but there's an expectation of music in rhythm games that they have to meet, it's 90% of the plan.
Portal, more than rhythm games, made music important in a new way to game development. I'm just surprised that hasn't been worth more as we arrive at awards time.
Nothing against Guitar Hero and the like... but I see more innovation and value in adding to the shared language of games and gamers than I do in adding new instruments and more licensed music.
*swoon*
@Flakor: Only if you are a fellow Scot. Otherwise no.
@Mattz_m: Gingers? Really? Some irish accents are horribly harsh as well. Belfast springs to mind.
@RetroBob: Shit, maybe I won't get it. See! The straddling continues, like I said dammit!
@NightOwl:
Oh shut up you tart it's a bit of fun you neagtive idiot.
The Scottish accent, in females, has to be the cutest thing ever.
I think I'm in love... boy will my wife be pist.
I played Portal for a few minutes so I'm not familiar with the song, but I love good looking women with accents. I'm swooning here...
@topaz420: Not on all females though some sound quite horrible. Neds... So grating.
Scottish accent + Cute Blonde + Still Alive = Giggity.
Only an Irish accent could make it better.
Awww... I thought that was cute.
This is got to be hard to sing and press those buttons...and she can carry a tune!
Why is it that this song conjures up images of They Might Be Giants? It absolutely sounds like a song they would come up with.
@SPni - Bored, Tired and slightly drunk!:
Hey, spare a thought for the poor Scottish gal who has to read those comments. i.e. me. :'C
The fact that shes playing Jam session and singing at the same time is enough for me to say shes pretty damned cool. :D
Still scared though.
I still don't believe they play any of these games.
He skin is as pink as the stripe in her shirt.
@Automageddon: I've tried it. It's pretty sweet. I didn't play the story mode (it probably sucks) but the Music Jam part of it is sweet.
@GOEMON:
LOL. All I said is that it wasn't a triumph. If you think that is negative enough to get worked up about, then well, good luck to you. You'll need it.
d'aww, that was cute.
<- Irish redhead. Not recording this anytime soon. GlaDOS can far outdo me.
Kudos to Kitt!
They need to release this song for Rock band . . . but how would that work?
@callahan09: That...would...be...awesome. I didn't even think to recommend it to Harmonix. If they could add a drum and bass track, this could be one of the best songs for Rock Band. Start a petition!
