We sent our very own videographer Nick McGlynn down to the Mega Man, Inafune festivities in New York yesterday... Hey! I recognize that first guy!

To the guy in blue: LOOK STRAIGHT INTO THE FUCKING CAMERA FOR ONCE!
Im scared, are you scared?
That last kid is intense!
@Witzbold: I'm scared! Nerds on the loose!
And that last kid just made me blink. Strangely giving me "I like turtles" flashbacks
Rofl omg that last kid
last kid comment is so good LOL: "It's even more than I expected"
lol, I cant make myself go to these kinds of events. But its fun to watch.
XD @ Last kid
His expectations were exceeded. He will never wash that T-shirt.
Sadly the Mega man series has gone the way of the Sonic series. Or is it the other way around?
Sad things happen when developers loe sight of what their games were origionaly about.
Highlights of the video for me.
Stupid emo teen - Not only are you a walking stereotype, you are also a sarcastic little ponce to boot. Go You!
The 9 year old at the end. To be fair he put more emotion and intensity into that one sentence than Tom Cruise has managed his whole career (couch jumping not included)
All that being said, I'd like to meet Inafune-san just to shake his hand and then put him in a headlock until he agrees to make Dead Rising 2.
"it was even more than everything i expected!"
ummm.......what?
@FoxHoundADAM: The Mega Man Anniversary Collection and the Sonic Mega Collection Plus were both of those franchises only worthwhile games I thought. Sad, very sad. (on consoles, GBA titles have been pretty solid)
Oh man, that last kid sounds like some bad actor on an infomercial. "The Blendo Blender was even more than I expected!"
I'd caress Inafune's face.
Oh man that fat kid at the end...fucking hilarious.
That kid at the end? He was annoying EVERYONE in line the entire time, and literally BEGGING everyone in line to buy 'Mega Man Star Force: Leo' so he could link up with them. He was even asking (nearly demanding!) that people step OUT of line to use a wi-fi hotspot across the street! He's luckily no one popped his head off.
Oh, and looks like when Nick filmed me and a few others in line, we didn't make the final cut. Probably because he surprised us outta nowhere, and didn't know he was filming for Kotaku. ;)
gah! that kid! he was running all over the line (In Naruto sandals) yelling at everyone. He came up to me and my friends, called us noobs and then started screaming at us for not being 'hardcore' because we didn't check any of his favorite battle network sites or that no one in our group purchased Starforce Leo or that we were not 'true mega man fans' or something...gah!
The guy in blue as well... some game site was doing an video interview with my friends, and in the middle of answering a question he interupts one of my friends and he goes "I'LL FIELD THIS QUESTION BLAHHH" and starts rambling about the history of capcom, missing the point of the original question. totally rude and lame. And he kept staring at us, which was creepy.
@Shoitaan: ROFL
This video was even less than everything I expected.
That last kid looks like Eliot from ET had too many cuppycake gumdrops.
Am I the only Mega Man fan that thinks Battle Network sucks?
im shitting my pants with all these replies..
THAT KID AT THE END NEEDS TO BE THE NEXT STAR WARS KID!! someone rip that shit out of the vid above and have at it
The kid was 11 :P He said it many times. He did get a little annoying at times, but he was just excited so I didn't mind too much. And I was #4 in line so I got to hear him a lot :P
That "guy in blue" is me. and it's quite a problem I have.
Little kids lol. I wish a game creator would sign something I own!...but they don't do anything like that in Texas :(
That kid... Please, Inafune, put him as zombie chowder in DR2!!!
"I tasted better than I expected!"
@eboku: Well, this website, as I write this, has absolutely nothing after the web search for "Inafune" and "Mega Man." But that doesn't excuse my behavior. I was on an exstatic high after meeting Inafune-san after waiting 11 hours, and a certain smugness overcame me for being first in line. I apologize.
sup /v/
The last kid wins!
@Wildarms7000:
You must live in an alternate universe. I feel like I'm the only Mega Man fan that thinks Battle Network DOESN'T suck. =/
That said, I think the Zero and ZX series have been totally solid thus far. :o
Poor Inafune. Can't get the approval and money to make the games he really wants to make (Legends 3 ;_;)
I like the kid at the end. He sounded very forced.
LOL! Love the kid at the end, someone YMNTD that. Genius!
That kids eyes at the end look like their rolling up into his head.
The kid at the end reminds me of those kids from that old Mega Man commercial. Actually, it's on youtube:
[youtube.com]
@ExarKun: No, he was EXTREME!!! RARRR EXCITEMENT!!!
Makes me happy I didn't stick around for the meet and greet for the Play! concert last year.
