Holy smokes! I think I may have just found one of the oldest home video game commercials in existence. Before the 2600, Atari came out with a home version of Pong which was making a huge splash in arcades and bars across the country and this is the ad they made for it.
I will warn you, the sound is really bad, but it doesn't take away from the strangest part of the commercial, the male maid. The cowboy in the foreground is speaking to what i can only assume is is wife, Doreen, and asking her to come back home. Apparently she went out to play Pong and never came home, so our cowboy attempts to tempt her back with the Pong home version. All the while however, a dude in a tight fitting white t-shirt and an apron is seen scurrying around in the background dusting things and mugging for the camera. Then at the end, he's standing behind the cowboy, giving us a full torso shot (with no head mind you) while tapping his feather duster on his arm. Son, lover, houseboy? You be the judge.
