Wow, I didn't know you could play Heavenly Sword as diminutive Icelandic songstress, Bjork! Wait a minute, that's not Bjork, that's Kai, the crazy chick from the demo who talks to invisible things in her hands. Either way she's got a big ass gun for such a tiny little girl and she knows how to use it.
I have a copy of Heavenly Sword in my hot little hands, I just need to carve out some time to check it out. Perhaps if I can plow my way through today's articles I'll get a chance. The more footage I see the more I like, I just hope the actual game lives up to the demo and the videos and turns out to be more than just (as someone so eloquently put it) "God of War with boobs." We shall see...

It's still a good game though, and I'll be picking it up when it comes out.
Back to the story, heavenly sword is awesome, but it's "just too short". I don't understand how people can complain about the length though. GOW1 was VERY short, and awesome. GOW2 was longer and even more awesome. Naturally it is safe to assume that ninja theory will be making a sequel; the sequel will be twice as awesome. (don't be afraid of the amount of the word "awesome" that is used int his comment...)

They really need to just pick a direction with this game and go with it. Changing genres so frequently can do nothing but hurt gameplay.

The arrow-cam is neat, but I could see that getting really repetitive and stupid after about your 50th enemy. I'm still on the fence about this game because their only previous game could, at best, be described as 'poopsack'.

Aw, the video is fixed now. I missed the hilarious mistake.
The game play looks pretty awesome. She scampers around like a monkey (note to developers, we need more games with monkeys). The steering of projectiles comes into play a lot more with this girl. In fact, I didn't even see any melee attacks.
Ah well now that kai is no longer using a jet to take down her enemies....
That looked pretty cool,i love the after touch effect on this game,and it looked awesome when she got the headshot on the guy while he was diving..
You guys realise you use the sixaxis to control the movement of the arrow.....just think that might get a bit boreing after 100 headshots (maybe not with croutch shots though).

The game itself looks pretty beautiful, I'll give it a shot if there was a crazy black friday deal on it, or if i had a ps3.
This looks so much like God of War it makes my face hurt... but I guess there isn't much room for expansion in the action / platformer genre anymore.
Hate to say this about a PS3 title, but it looks great. I like how well defined the character looks with the animations, facial expressions, voice acting... makes me want to get a PS3.

Exactly which part looked even remotely like God of War? I haven't exactly exhauseted the GoW franchise myself, but I don't seem to recall anything about flying crossbow bolts in that. And I seemed to miss seeing the visceral fatalities every six seconds in this trailer... And just how did the trailer impress upon you that it was set anywhere near a mytholiteral Greece?
Perhaps you're just dismissing Sony's first legitimate quality offering out of hand because you've not got the cajones to admit that what they're presenting just seems solid for once.
@Anael: Why do you hate to say it? What is wrong with the Playstation 3 and games? I had my doubts about that portion of the game, but after watching this video I can confidently buy it next week.
I will say that this character looks like a fucking clown, though. And I don't mean that in a good way. I mean that in a way that impresses upon you that there isn't a good way to say someone looks like a clown.
For the love of god PS3 dev's turn V-Sync on or at the very least give us an option to do so!

@landu13: Sorry if sometimes I can sound like an anti-Sony fanboy, but to me this generation Nintendo represents fun and games and Sony is just trying to shove us a Blue-Ray reader for $600. It hurts when they try to do something like that to the game industry.

MORE than just "God of War with boobs"? Considering how awesome God of War is, I would be excited if it were "just" God of War with boobs. They should be lucky if it turns out that good!

@ach77: This game took the same concept and executes it so poorly in comparison, though. Of course, God of War 2 did the same thing with its lame enemy designs, lack of challenging or even interesting puzzles, emo storyline and retarded weapons. Yeah, Kratos looks super awesome wielding a purple staff.

The amount of bloom lighting in that video made Twilight princess's look underdone. Seriously, my left eye is bleeding. I also like how she shoots being from the side, the the bolt end up in the enemy's front because immersion isn't nearly as important as enemies dying in cinematic ways, apparently.

Yeah the crossbow thing looks like it'll be cool the first 10 times, and then get old quick. I like the way her character jumps around and stuff though.

Harley Quinn (though this one is obvious), Bjork, and Yuffie are three people who also look like clowns in my esteemed opinion. Also, not in a good way. It's just not a good look. It's a clowntastic look.
