I'd have never in a million years suspected that a 12-year old boy would be placed under arrest in the state of South Carolina for unwrapping a Game Boy (Advance, I assume), one he was due to receive as a gift for Christmas. Florida, maybe, but South Carolina?

Well, it appears to be true. In a police report available at The Smoking Gun, the underage suspect, who has a history of bad behavior—including assaulting a police officer—done acted up and/or bothered his "PlayStation Game Boy" and/or gave his mama some lip.

With infallible Southern logic, the boy's mother decided to have her Game Boy stealin' son arrested, hoping that would straighten him out. Brilliant! Sounds like someone has a future so bright, he's gotta wear shades.
