In a world of DIY everything and the rise of The Food Network, everyone is jumping on the cooking bandwagon. In the last year or so, game themed cakes have been all the rage and we've seen some really incredible ones like the Mario Brothers wedding cake which pretty much puts all other game cakes to shame.
Riding one of this year's other popular trends, the top 10 list, the folks over at YouNewb have put together a list of the "Top 10 Gamer Cakes". Some of these we've featured here on Kotaku, but there are several I'd never seen before. The cake pictured at right, which I can only assume is supposed to be a Guitar Hero controller, falls into the category of "Cakes I wish I'd never seen and certainly wouldn't eat." I'm not sure what offends my senses most about it. It could be that it's in three parts with the body on a separate plate, or maybe it's the fact that the frosting looks like it was applied by a blind monkey on a feces throwing binge.
