Another hue and cry from the "I haven't played Bully, but I'm against it!" crowd, courtesy of this press release from Jayne Hitchcock, president of Working to Halt Online Abuse and their Kids/Teens Division, the most nonsensical organization name perhaps in history.
"Early indications are that the game can be construed as violent," Hitchcock notes with sharp, crystalline insight.
"There is a tremendous probability that this new game will send out twisted messages, possibly even influence victims of bullying to resort to violence as a means of defense," Hitchcock continued, while many of us note from our own experience that Gandhi's passive resistance method tends not to work when it's a 12 year old schoolyard gorilla pushing your face down into an unflushed toilet and commanding you to "gobble like a turkey."
