James Munn over at Aeropause is onto something. There just aren't enough card or board games turning up on consoles. Despite the fact Uno was one of the most popular XBL titles of last year, there doesn't seem to be too many more on the horizon, despite the recognition and accessibility they'd promise.
Yes, most would be rubbish, as it'd be pointless if you've got the real thing sitting on a shelf somewhere. But let me put this to you: Pictionary. On the Wii. With DS connectivity, where each team draws on the DS and at the conclusion of each round the pics are displayed on the screen, and you can save the best ones.
There's scope for some great, fun, cheap games out there if somebody is willing to grab the licence and put the work in. Uno worked because it was cheap, easy to download and everybody knows how to play it. That should be a pretty clear sign that we need more games like that.
