Every year the Tokyo Game Show has a theme, a slogan if you will. This year's catch phrase has been decided:
Connect, widen, to the World. ("Tsunagatte, hirogatte, sekai he.")
Wow, it's like they actually set out to write a typically trite slogan you'd find in a DoCoMo ad. Good for them! This year's TGS has been expanded to four days (traditionally, it was three), and a gazillion people are going to show-up. Why didn't they go with more accurate slogans? Ones like "TGS: Four days With Sweaty Nerds" or "TGS: Have Strangers Press Up Close To You."
For those *thinking* of attending: Remember the E3 circus of previous years? Now imagine all that in Japanese, and you'll get a vague idea of what TGS 2007 is going to be.
