A customized Yoshi Wii is up for sale on ebay. Warranty voided for the paint job, current bidding is at $400 including an extra Wiimote, Wii Play and Mario Party 8. And for that value, our more anal side could overlook what appears to be streaks of unpainted white around where the case intersects with more case. No, it couldn't. We're that nitpicky regarding the accomplishments of others. Seriously, huge pricks. Children cry just looking at us.

Aww if the person customized the controller with a Yoshi egg theme that would be so BAD ASS.
My lack of talent prevents me...Someone! Anyone!
It must be done!
Too bad I hate that mockery of a dinosaur green thing.
*sniffle* you're...you're so mean kotaku...
Nitpicky pricks... I might try this with my Wii since it has been sitting in a box ever since I got bored with Wii Sports. Arts and crafts with your underused consoles.
$400 including an extra Wiimote, Wii Play and Mario Party 8.
MARIO PARTY 8!!
It's a trick to get rid of that satanic game.
Warranty voided? Sorry, but screw that.
That's some pretty bad orange peel. Needs a round of wet-sanding.
That's awesome, though they should customize one of the controllers too
@Dr.Chocobo: That's what stencils are for, my friend. you could probably do a cleaner job with some tape, some spraypaint, and a good stencil
FYI: those "streaks of unpainted white" are most likely simply shiny reflection of light around the edges. Not genuinely unpainted surfaces.
Something about that paintjob looks crappy to me. Needs gloss or something and I really don't like that shade of green for some reason.
@Last_Raven: have you tryed games other then Wii Sports?
@Toasticus:
It looks more like the console was opened and resealed around those areas to me. What was it that voided the warranty again? Do they really void it for custom paint jobs?
voided for opening the case. duh.
and the unpainted parts are the joints of the paneling. looks amteurish at best, and just plain ugly at worst.
That looks awesome. Without the gloss, it reminds me of an NES or SNES.
Besides, if it did have gloss, those of you who insult it because it does not would just complain because it did. "It's too shiny. I am getting finger prints on it just thinking about it."
The pricing is so close to a PS3. Hmm. Actually 'next-gen' console that took long for good games to come out, probably due to it's advanced technology ORRR kid's console, masking old mechanics as new gameplay including a few good 1st party games with a little dinosaur and eggs on it?! What a tough decision!
From the auction:
"The one-of-a-kind painted console has a shiny gloss all over and will make any Yoshi or Nintendo fan happy."
"Everything included here has been opened(necessary to customize it), very lightly used in the time I have been working on it, and in perfect working condition."
He'd be an idiot not to paint those edges after opening the case. What you are seeing on those edges is glossy reflection, not unpainted parts.
What else do you want? More cowbell?
As a long time player of Yoshi in Smash Brothers I have to say, I like it. Its pretty neat and clean looking.
Who knew a dinosaur and eggs could make a last-gen console worth $400?! Not I.
@xINTRINSICALLY_PWNINGx: "Last-gen?" That's just harsh.
@toasticus: I've done lots of gadget photography. And that looks like the paint is missing or scraped. But yes, I may be wrong.
@Mark Wilson: True, I hadn't considered that it may have been scraped off during reassembly. I think it's too hard to tell from those pictures though.
@Toasticus:

You can never have enough cowbell!
Seriously, though, I think that paint job looks pretty sweet. Yoshi rocks.
@xINTRINSICALLY_PWNINGx: We get it. You don't like the Wii.
This pisses me off that I am too lazy on doing something artistic on my Wii. T_T I really want to buy it.
If this is not the most awesome thing ever. I don't know what is!!!!!!! OMG
@Mansteak: It's not just that. This is the guy who says SSBB could be on the GBA. It's worse than just not liking the Wii.
@Kitempest: Ah, just straight up haterade, then? Well, he's not the first, and he won't be the last. No use getting my feathers ruffled.
@Papa Midnight: like your nintendo console is going to break!
Ahhhh!!
It looks so pretty! But too bad I am not a big fan of the Wii...
