    Mutliplayer Oblivion with Multi-Mod

I think, at this point, I've finally just given up on ever liking Oblivion.

While single-player MMORPGs appeal to some, I'd rather boot up World of Warcraft and run around in a world with at least the semblance of dynamicism that does not include shops annoyingly closing up when I saunter into the city at dusk. As I'm playing it, I can't help but think that I'd be enjoying myself a lot more if, every once and a while, I could go pwn a n00b, or there was a Tauren standing on a mailbox jumping up and down and screaming capital letter Bulgarian obscenities at passers-by. Ultimately, if I'm going to play a game like Oblivion, I'd at least like there to be someone else in the vacant, lifeless world.

So will MultiTES4 — a mod adding multiplayer to Oblivion — scratch my itch? Probably not yet. It supports only 2 players running around Cyrodil.

At the moment, the following haven't been implemented: time/day/year synchronisation, quest sharing, deathmatch, cell/world synchronisation, err pretty much everything else you can think of. Console commands aren't blocked, either is fast travel. Animations aren't shared, neither is inventories or attributes.

But it's worth keeping an eye on, since the next release promises 8 players in game, along with death match and capture the flag.
