1:03 AM, unlike the lucky poster above me it seems that fileplanets taken the file off line for 'maintenance' which seriously angers the pirate in me.

As such I feel compelled to download a re-released game or expansion that only adds miniscual game play additions at a full price.

I'm looking at you Fable, you and your lost chapters... arrrg...

@MiliardoK: yeah i got caught up watching the mc chris on youtube and so i was just going to start the download since the que only had a few minutes left. Suprise it got a error. Thats why fileplanet is so crappy. Now i feel slightly robbed and cheated but that will pass in about 10 minutes when i go to sleep and forget that this game even exists.

Well I clicked the link about 20 times over and it finally started, got through the line and now waiting to download.

While fileplanet tends to be flaky with download issues I will give them credit, if they say they have a beta, and you manage to download it, well congrats your in the beta. Managed to get into Archlords with out a hitch minus the download wait.

Shame that game ended up becoming F2P and just another failed MMO...

Also on another note, according to the messages over at PotBS, the stress test ends 10 AM (not sure what time zone) the 19th for an exact time line as to when you need level 5 to keep playing the beta.

At the very least I should be able to see what the beginner game content is like.

Man, just got to the end of the line for download from File Planet and it's so slow, it looks like it'll take 2 days to finish. It'll be too late to even get to level 2. Is there anywhere else we can get the file from?

@mewlink64: I got to 5 on on character after about 3 or 4 hours. Shouldn't take too long, if you don't waste time exploring or doing the long missions.

Wow, I'm glad I'm already in the official beta. Then again I logged in once and never again. The sailing around part is fun enough, but the melee combat needs a LOT of work.

So for what reason should I grab this and try it, I can easely get the entire client within an hour, Fileplanet got quite good upstream a few MB/s for free acconts ( you just need there downloader )

But why should I try this game, doesn't even sound fun or apealing.

Level 5 is quite easy to attain, and if any deep dark part of you loves intricate games and economic simulation on a totally unholy nerdy level (like me) they should at least give this one a shot.

@Bissrok: Where/how has this game gotten awful reviews unless by NDA breakers, whom are empirically known to be the people who dislike a game hence they disregard the NDA? Cram a sock in your hole, you've no idea what you're talking about.

I took the option of downloading while I slept and when I woke up I found out that FilePlanet performed some routine maintenance which required their servers to be down. I was only 600 megs away from beautiful, piratey glory. I can see only one way to remedy this! I just won't sleep anymore.

Made it to level 5. All further details would probably violate the NDA, So they will be in encrypted pig latin.

Bah, still can't believe you can't step foot on the deck of your own ship and navigate/operate it with fellow players. being part of a ship's crew, taking seige of other players' ships by harpooning your way onto it, that's what an online pirate game should be all about. but nooooo. :(

@TheRemedy: It said my file was corrupt too, if I double-zliicked the Zip to open it. However, WinRAR opened it just fine.

I've been installing/patching for about two hours now and my comp is far from a p.o.s. I want to play the game, but at this point I'd rather just give up and play some more Super Mario Galaxy.

well, Ive got it installed, but, two servers are down and the third "Morgan" wont let me in.
