While the PSP Slim is definitely an improvement over the PSP Rotund (degree of improvement may vary between users), there's a little issue concerning the system's battery life. Seems you can expect around 8-10 hours of gaming from your new PSP Slim...if you're using an old PSP battery. The new one, the one that comes with the PSP Slim? Expect around 3-6 hours. Seems the old, larger battery was too well-rounded for the Slim's new figure, meaning it would bulge out the back and wouldn't fit under the backplate. If you'd like to use your older, better battery, Sony will be offering replacement backplates that will accomodate it. Aesthetics be damned, that's double the battery life, you'd be nuts nuts to not get on it.
