Video games made the Lincoln Center this weekend as part of the New York Video Festival. The Walter Reade Theater hosted a series of shorts, including a 9 minute one called Persistent Artifacts: Adventure! Machinima that blends old-school Atari classic Adventure! with video and sound. It's pretty damn trippy stuff by Matt Boch of Reasonable People's League.
It's funny how the sound of static and a bit of black and white image rolling can totally bring me back to the days of the 2600 and playing games in the den.
The video's got a lot of well-deserved buzz going for it.
