Clearly, games on your iPod aren't good enough for Apply anymore - they want you to play them on your TV, too. Buried inside the new iTunes 7.1 are a few bits of string code that read as follows:

• Are you sure you want to sync games? All existing games on the Apple TV
• Some of the games in your iTunes library were not copied to the Apple TV [...] because they cannot be played on this Apple TV

Nothing official yet from Apple on this, mind, but that looks pretty official to me. Which means it looks like you'll be able to play your iPod games on your TV. Why the hell you'd want to is another matter. I believe there are other, more substantial gaming experiences to be had on machines hooked up to your TV. Luke Plunkett
