Australian? Fancy yourself as a video games presenter? Just straight-up fancy yourself?

Good Game, Australia's first and only bearable video games TV show, is looking for a new host. I know, it's on the ABC (well...not even that, it's on ABC2), but I've got it on good information that people do watch the show, and that some even go so far as to enjoy it. Which would make you, as host...famous. Maybe.

To have a shot at the job you need to scrub up real good, be able to smile for the cameras and be able to turn a phrase with the pen. Yes, that rules out most of you, but life is cruel.

Season 2 of GG starts soon and we're looking for a new presenter!

The ideal person will be:

* A gamer! Remember the show looks at games across all genres and so you must be willing and able to cast an impartial and critical eye over all games. A background in games journalism is not necessary, but enthusiasm for games is a must and someone up to date with the industry is preferred.

* Comfortable in front of the camera - You need to be able to project your awesome personality through the camera lens to the audience. You'll need to be able to learn scripts as well as ad lib and ask our guests pertinent and thoughtful questions.

*A good writer - We will need you to contribute to all aspects of the show, including scripts and story ideas.

*A good team member - Good Game is made by a small and dedicated team who work hard!

*18 or over.

*Living in or willing to move to Sydney -whilst we invite applicants from across the globe, we cannot pay moving or living expenses.

*Available for an audition in very early March. Auditions will be held in Sydney. You will have to meet any travel expenses yourself.

*Available three days a week from the beginning of March till Mid June (likely to be Monday to Wednesday) with at least one of those days in studio and one on location and one preparing stories or reviewing games.

If you would like to apply you need to do the following:

1. Send a brief covering letter introducing yourself with your contact details.

2. Send a one to two minute video of yourself (on DV Cam or DVD) doing a piece to camera.. introduce yourself, tell us a bit about you and why you would make a great presenter of Good Game.

3. Send us a written game review (in script format preferably) of not more than 500 words of the game of your choice (include a rubber chicken score) - please make it your own work!

Please note that we will be unable to return your tapes or DVD's.

Have all this to us by CLOSING DATE OF FEBRUARY 27th. Packages must be postmarked by 6pm 27th Feb.
