We hate posting eBay things. Why? 'Cause someone makes money, and it ain't us! This, this is okay. This auction has ended. Life, however, marches on. Here's a Super Mario fan from 1988 — which times were simple and bedrooms were way easy to decorate. Somewhere there must be matching sheets and pillow cases!

Is that Bowser post-lava dip?
All of that color is wrong (goombas, pirhana plants, princess's hair).. weird.
I used to have a Super Mario Bros. pillow. To be exact, it was one of those jumbo-sized pillows. Course this was back in the late '80s, along with everything else.
ah. i miss the days of Toys R' Us being lined with NES merchandise...id love to just see those old zelda/mario/punch-out high score statues.
I remember when I was like 8 or 9 and one of the greatest days of my life was when mcdonalds released a line of mario happy meal toys.
Black Bowser is far scarier.
I like the nintendo logos, but the fan overall... kinda looks cheap...
Such ingenuity.. I never knew McGyver was in prison >_>
I have the sheets in pristine condition (no pillow case :sadface:) Want me to upload a pic, senor ashcraft?
Hmm I would think this is for the fanboys... sorry.
@Sailorcancer:
Might have something to do with the fact that it was made in 1988 (assuming from reading article).
Love the art. I myself probably would have taken it apart and hung it on my wall instead of using it as a fan.
I had the sheets and pillowcase! I remember them fondly!
Unfortunatly, the dog we had at the time shredded them.
Man I was depressed that day.
I wonder if Al Sharpton had anything to do with Bowser.
@Shoitaan: Uh, I think you got the wrong page. Look up.
@Lyrai: Well its good to know Im not the only one who had those sheets and pillow case.
I also had a huge blanket with pacman and the ghosts all over it.
...What exactly is Luigi supposed to be doing there?
@egyptiansushi: this was back in the days of the cartoon, when no one knew how to color
@Sabre_Justice: Yes I did, that comment was intended for the prisoner tatoo story. I blame Kotaku's coding over a possiblity that I miss clicked...
(cause I'm a jerk) :)
When I first saw the picture I thought they were some sort of spankin' paddles.
@selfhatingotaku:
IT'S MARIO TIME!
Anyone wants a Mario sheet?

Anon delivers.
Lame. If they'd asked me to design this thing, I would've made the fan blades translucent except for the mario/luigi figure, and then included a 'world' decal that you could put on the ceiling above it. That way it'd look like they were running around the world. (Or flying, if you went with raccoon-suit mario..)
@egyptiansushi:
For the record, Princess Peach's hair was actually brown during the NES/Famicom era. It was during the SNES era that her hair changed to blonde.
I wouldn't trust a 20 year old ceiling fan, no matter how amazing it looks!
I have this exact Fan, in my bed room. My mom bought it for me when I was 6 years old for $30 dollars. It still works fine, no problems with it, just got some glow in the dark sticker stars from that age of stickers going on everything. But this fan rocks, and it still keeps me cool while playing.
If memory serves, that Bowser art came right out of the SMB instruction manual (except it was in black and white, of course).
@spate: dude, it was 1998.
@TheIrishNinja: 1988, i meant.
Holy shit!
Is bowser a nig---,.. goron?!
Hehe, I wouldn't mind that fan in my room(any fan for the matter), my room get's hot as HELL.
