				Remember Koei's futuristic racer <em>Fatal Inertia</em>? It was the one-time PlayStation 3 "exclusive" that <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/koei/tgs06-koei-having-issues-with-ps3-middleware-fatal-inertia-to-miss-launch-202763.php">missed that console's launch</a>, only to <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/switcheroo/fatal-inertia-now-xbox-360+only-in-bizarro-world-mix-up-274371.php">become an Xbox 360 "exclusive"</a> by default, then <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/homecoming/fatal-inertia-returns-to-ps3-279577.php">re-announced</a> for a release on Sony's console, with the Koei Canada team constantly <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/de-ja-vu/fatal-inertia-team-struggling-with-unreal-engine-on-ps3-280536.php">reminding us of the problems it was having with Unreal Engine 3</a>. Still doesn't ring a bell does it? 				This week has a nice choice of titles spread out over various systems (sans the PSP). I'm trying to get to Heavenly Sword tonight so I can see for myself what it's going to be like and I am anxious to check out Jam Sessions and Drawn to Life for the DS. I've avoided Oblivion for a while just because I'm afraid of getting sucked in, but the inclusion of all the expansions on one disc is intriguing. 				They could have just called it Dead Stop, but they had to go and get all fancy on us. A demo for Koei's take on the futuristic racer (read: Wipeout) genre is now up on Xbox Live Marketplace. Weighing in at a modest 380MB, the demo features three different race types in a canyon environment. I've already downloaded and screwed around a bit, and what I've seen isn't too shabby. 				 It's a been a strange path. Koei's futuristic racer <i>Fatal Inertia</i> was originally announced as a PS3 launch title. The game missed launch, and Koei later announced that it was going to miss the PLAYSTATION 3 altogether. Instead, the title <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/switcheroo/fatal-inertia-now-xbox-360only-in-bizarro-world-mix-up-274371.php">would be appearing</a> on the Xbox 360. Well! The game is back on the PS3, it seems. Koei Chief Operating Officer Kenji Matsubara took the stage at Sony's Japan press event PLAYSTATION PREMIERE 2007 and showed titles headed for the PS3: <i>Ni - OH</i>, <i>BLADESTORM</i> and <i>Fatal Inertia</i>. Not sure if an official announcement was made or if, you know, <i>Fatal Inertia</i> was just slipped back in. 					    Koei has released new media of its Koei Canada developed racer Fatal Inertia, a game that was originally intended as a PLAYSTATION 3 exclusive, only to <a href="http://kotaku.com/gaming/switcheroo/fatal-inertia-now-xbox-360+only-in-bizarro-world-mix-up-274371.php">switch exclusivity camp</a> to the Xbox 360. On the one hand, it's futuristic hovercar racing, about which I have a soft spot in my heart. On the other hand, it looks rather bland. 				With a recent batch of exclusives that were traditionally on the PlayStation family of platforms making for greener Xbox 360 pastures&mdash;<em>Fatal Inertia</em>, <em>Beautiful Katamari</em>, <em>Ace Combat 6</em>, <em>Devil May Cry 4</em>, et al.&mdash;some might wonder how Microsoft is pulling it off. The answer? Money and lots of it. From the funding of development to co-marketing dollars to advances on future episodic content, it may be costing Microsoft a pretty penny to secure titles from the Sony stable. How will SCEA counter? We're not... sure. As of the Tokyo Game Show, both Koei titles <i>Fatal Inertia</i> and <i>Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War</i> were PS3 exclusives.       I just got out of a group interview with the producers of Koei's Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War where they told the group that the company's first racing game wouldn't make the November Japanese launch.
