The first Battlestar Galactica game since that really bad one hit back on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox is coming to an Xbox 360 near you this Wednesday. The space combat game features single player missions taken from important moments in the new series as well as three different multiplayer modes: skirmish, domination, and firefight. Up to 8 players can take to the spaceways in any of four human or four Cylon ships, each with unique capabilities and weapons. If space combat isn't your thing there's always Exit, the Xbox Live Arcade version of the PSP puzzle game that puts you in the shoes of Mr. ESC, a hero who rescues people from disastrous situations and then puts them to work in solving any of 120 stages, with more promised with future updates. I'll be getting BG myself, as I've been a slave to space combat since Privateer, Wing Commander's spunky younger brother hit back in 1993. Both games will set you back 800 Microsoft points and will be available early Wednesday morning, as per usual. More »

Tomorrow, I head to sunny Ireland for a week's worth of heavy vacationing, basking in the glorious sunny weather typical of Dublin in March. Don't worry. I'm bringing my sunblock. The latest issue of Famitsu says that two of my personal PSP favorites (Ridge Racer and Exit) will get getting sequels. Exit will get some slight tweaks and new levels, while Ridge Racer will be more of the same. The release date is September 14th, and Namco says RR is about 70% done. I enjoy both these games immensely, but I'm not sure that either PSP games really merit a sequel. Easy money, sure, but should that creative energy be directed else where? Or rather, could that creative energy be directed elsewhere please? Brian Ashcraft <a href="http://kotaku.com/184173/exit--ridge-racer-get-psp-sequels-why" title="Click here to read more about Exit & Ridge Racer Get PSP Sequels... We've reported on this many times before, but Gamebrink has a fan review up of an odd looking Playstation Portable game called Exit. The import is a puzzler featuring classic Prince of Persia type play. You have to figure out how to rescue people before the time runs out. The reviewer compares it to Brain Training, but says it
s not as esoteric. Ashcraft was also raving about the game, and it sounds like it is worth a try. More »
