The bassist for Japanese speed metal band Sex Machineguns Kenjirou Murai has moved to trashing to bleeps. After working on the Nana soundtrack album, Murai joined forces with a professional his new group is called PSG, short for Picopico Sound Project. It's even roped in cosplayers (above) as "vocal talent." There are loads of these retro sound bit chip bands, so how does this band stand apart? Just look at those outfits! The buttons are fantastic. CD drops today. More »

Finally a game for me! Disney Princesses: Enchanted Journey is a Wii, PS2 and PC game (with a version due out on the DS) that allows young girls (discrimination!) to create their own custom characters and help their favorite princesses help save their worlds while learning an important lesson about courage, friendship, trust and the joy of discovery. Swoon! While I do appreciate how good they've gotten at rendering Disney characters in video games these days, one fact remains...boys do not like playing dress up in video games. More »

With this "Squall Jacket," not only can you look like Final Fantasy VIII's Squall Lionheart, but stare into space inexplicably! Cosplay costume maker AbbyShot are selling this leather jacket for US $229. They've also got Squall's lion-headed pendant for sale. Good for casual cosplayers, but know: the hardcore ones craft their own costumes and make eye contact. Brian Ashcraft More »

I always say you can never have too many big-heading anime people cheerfully trying to do the things that normal people do every day. The Hot Shots Golf series was an excellent example, and now developer Clap Hanz and Sony are bringing even more cute sports action to the PS2 with Hot Shots Tennis. More »
