With the death of Guitar Hero, the song that launched a thousand YouTube videos makes the leap to Rock Band 3. DragonForce's "Through the Fire and Flames" hits on March 29, with Pro Guitar and Pro Bass support. As above. There's a notice on Roadrunner Records' site announcing that a Dragonforce song pack will be released for Guitar Hero III on August 21. It'll contain three songs: "Heroes Of Our Time", "Operation Ground And Pound" and "Revolution Deathsquad". And...yeah. Dragonforce. What, did your dog eat your Slayer song pack, Neversoft? More »

Tired of the stock jams available to you in Guitar Hero II? If you aren't yet aware, making your own Guitar Hero tracks, from any song, is not far out of reach. Those looking for a bloodied finger, near impossible challenge like the one below (Dragonforce's "Fury of the Storm") should read on. More »

Some of this looks a little... suspect to me (some of those jump kicks happen way fast, as does that double-time Nightwolf shoulder), but I'll admit it's been a few years since I tried to play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 with anything but a keyboard. Still, it should give those of you still wailing away on Xbox Live something to strive for. Can you recreate these combos, eliciting an epic string of obscenities and racial epithets from your opponent? More »

Dragon Force - Insane Shredding Combos!

Sorry, Saturn fans. This is NOT a post about the excellent turn-based SRPG Dragon Force, but a quick diversion for fans of the speed metal cheeseball shredders from across the pond. Upping the cheese factor once again amidst all the lightning quick squealing of guitars and vocals, Dragon Force does their famous picture-in-picture soloing, but this time with a fighting-game schtick. It's impressive how the effects go from average to laughable during this portion of the video. More »
