It seems sort of odd to me to have a video game cross-promotion that encourages you to injest the friends and loved ones of the game's protagonist, but that's exactly what Konami and Nestle Waters North America are doing with the "Green With Envy" campaign, which pairs up young Dewy the water droplet with Aquapod Natural Spring Water for kids. A nationwide contest and sweepstakes is being launched that could net health-conscious families an 'eco-adventure' to Costa Rica and copies of the game itself. Behind the sweepstakes is a multi-million dollar print, internet, radio, television, and in-store advertising campaign to help deliver a health message to children and of course, sell video games. Dewy art is appearing as we speak on bottles of Poland Spring, Deer Park, Zephyrhills, Ozarka and Ice Mountain <s>tap</s> spring water. If I were in charge that would involve the titular character proudly proclaiming, "I Keep Your Innards Moist!", which is why I was never allowed to play in any marketeer games. *sniffs* More »

From the producer of Elebits, the Wii's other hyper-cute Konami exclusive comes Dewy's Adventure. Touching on the same environmental themes from Elebits, Dewy's will use none-too-subtle imagery and gameplay mechanics to drive a global climate change message home. It's also just too goddamn precious. More »

A new website has popped up for Dewy's Adventure and it's still in its early stages. Not all the features are available yet, but there is a game play video showing with some new "monsters" (I put them in quotes because secretly you'll want to hug them, and squeeze them, and name them "George"). Right now the site is in Japanese, but it won't stop you from clicking on the buttons. The only other information available right now some diagrams on how the game is played with the wiimote and some creepy dolls that resemble Dewy, but have some funny outfits on. Promoting video games is so much more complicated than I thought. Kim Phu More »

The designer who is being interviewed in this clip is the most awkwardly charming person I've never met. Dewy's Adventure is a 3D marble madness-esque game where you play a water droplet who is out to save the forest. Who am I kidding? It doesn't matter what you save, it's cute as hell. And, since some of the designers came over from Elebits, it's radiating in the usual combo-color of unsaturated pallettes with neon highlights that equals visual trippiness. This is the same way I choose what box of tampons to buy. More »

Konami is teaming up once again with the producer of Elebits to bring you a new "action adventure" game tentatively titled Dewy's Adventure. The best I can tell, Dewy's adventure uses a Loco Roco-esque style of gameplay where the player manipulates the surroundings to get the rogue little dewdrop to bend to their will. Not being a huge fan of Elebits, I won't be picking this particular title up, but I know a lot of people loved it so I figured I'd put my personal feelings aside and present this video for your consideration. More »
