Hey, I remember going at it with you over FFXII. I've decided I'm going to drop my vendetta against it and go through it again to get the Zodiac Spear. I've got to admit, that Zodiac Spear business made me lose my objectivity towards the game.

@TheIrishNinja: Yeah, pretty much that is all you need. Zelda at launch is the best cause of compability with the hack. The SD card and SD-reader is to be able to put the hack and the homebrew channel into the SD card and then run it from the Wii like in that tutorial.

Is that easy, as for the whole FTPii part to 'transfer' files from the CPU to the Wii without having to connect the SD card to the CPU everytime, don't bother. Just get a program call 'Homebrew browser'. It connects to an online server that allows you to download the homebrew stuff DIRECTLY to the SD card without having to use your CPU for getting the Wii homebrew stuff.

As for the whole 'making it region free' there are three alternatives, a program call 'Starfall' which writes some data to the Wii making it region free without having to run the program EVERYTIME. Then there is another similar to it, but you have to run it everytime and the third is 'GeckoOS' which you also have to run it everytime to get region free.

Ha. Funny thing is, same store had a couple of copies of the PS2 Okami as well. Makes no damn sense!

I did see FES on Amazon for 30 bucks, plus free shipping or something like that. Sooner or later. Couple of upcoming purchases I have to make before that one.

Damn man. You know I still can't find P3 FES around here anywhere?! Might as well get it online at this rate.

Sucks how one local store has the original Persona 3 but pretty much never received FES. Doesn't make sense.

I agree completely. I mean, I still have to play Shenmue 1 (no Dreamcast), but Shenmue 2 was amazing, and I've heard the first was even better. I'd buy a part 3 in an instant.

hey man what's up

wild homes loves you but chooses... on Sep 8, 2008

Nicely done. In the third-person spirit... wild homes possesses no Wii, but might someday. The PS3 is in quasi-permanent residence at the nephew's house, and the LIVE gamertag is 'wild homes'. Though whild homes hasn't played anything but some PC games in ages. He is a sad, lapsed console gamer. Cheers!

On the Sega discussion, I know it's painful man. Really painful. The worst thing is, it could happen again if any of the big three turn off their brains.

Someone really needs to write a book. We have a book about the rise of Nintendo, the downfall of arcade games, how the Xbox happened, how the 360 happened, how Sony got into gaming but no one has ever put into print the full story of how Sega went from Nintendo's biggest rival to a third party ghost of it's former self.
