"Fantastic thread - PS3 claws back 16 months of sales in 14 months and people are finding every excuse under the sun to explain it away. It occurs to me that Americans and Brits (perhaps less so) are willing to pay for crap, just as long as it's cheap and available (probably explains why the US and UK car industries are in the toilet), whereas Europe and Asia are appearing to take a more considered view and go for Brand and Build Quality. This said, I actually think that MS's gamble has kinda paid off - to a point."
