"I'm not really a fan of game reviews in general but I don't think most reviews boil down to such simple terms.
Reviewers usually will give examples of things that the game did wrong and how to fix them (Mass Effect's horrible inventory system which was fixed in the PC version for example).
Granted a lot of reviews are only a few hundred words or less and are intended to just tell the reader whether a game is fun or not but that's because most people don't want (or need) to read 7 page IGN reviews.
Another thing I noticed just yesterday is how different outlets can have completely different outlooks on the same thing."
"@skullivan:
I'd also like to reiterate, I am not opposed to Qore or saying that they shouldn't be charging for it, I think with Calling All Cars included in the subscription price it's not really a bad deal even if they only come through with a few decent exclusive, but claiming it is completely optional and doesn't change things for those who don't subscribe is delusional."
"@LittleBigPlaneteer:
"These demos will be free and available to everyone, so I don't buy the whole you're paying for demos shit."
What are you talking about?"
"Those of you buying Qore for the SOCOM beta access should be aware of this:
[socom.us.playstation.com]
"Qore gives access to the public SOCOM beta two weeks after the public beta launches."
"If they really are only delaying it so it releases in the next fiscal quarter and not because of development issues, then there is no reason it shouldn't be out in November.
In fact I would say that there is almost no way in hell they won't have it out by Christmas."
"My brother (who plays games but doesn't follow the industry like I do) bought Kane and Lynch the day it came out and later told me that he literally felt like he had been robbed.
He's not one to pay attention to what developer made a game but he said he'd never buy a game made by IO again."
"He was actually saying the exact opposite, that exclusives make the most sense:
"That's why different games on different platforms is the way to approach the situation."
If you look at Platinum's lineup right now that's how they develop, across multiple platforms but with exclusive titles on each."
