I'm glad to know mr. n'gai didn't think that a buncha black guys backstabbing, weed smoking, killing, and otherwise being miscreants in san andreas was racism.

now... I'd really love to hear his thoughts on how the 50cent games are redeeming to society - because I'm sure in my ignorant gaming brain I was unable to see this before.

exo commented on Feeding your ID in Saint's Row 2 When i stick a satchel charge to a jogger and blow it, I dont want

a: her to fly 50 feet in the air - I want her body parts to fly 50 feet in every direction. The fact the body just sort of ragdolls and flies off sucks.

b: the other charges to blow at the same time giving me a chance to create a mega bomb... not a bunch of tiny little bombs.

Whats the point of a trailer park full of AI going about their business if even satchel charges just sort of make them fly away. For all I know she'll land a few blocks away and just keep on jogging.

First game to give me a truck full of empty boxes (with fast food logos on them) which I can then place decaptitated heads into and deliver to unsuspecting people wins the decade.

exo commented on Kotaku Reader Escapes Tornado, Now Homeless this is a site devoted to gaming news, not reporting every incident in which natural disasters harmed someones gaming supplies and or stuff. If it has become such, then I have some things I never got to post, such as:

In 2003 my house burned down. Game system dating back to the magnovox odyssey were ruined. Well over 15,000 in gaming related stuff had fire damage. I lovingly cleaned it all out by hand, replaced the lasers on the optical drive based systems, and used insurance to replace what I couldnt repair.

1 Year later someone broke into one of my game rooms (I have 3) and made off with $2300 worth of stuff. He was never caught, but the joke is on him - he forgot to steal the game system power supplies and controllers. Again, insurance saved the day.

Last year someone spilled milk on my psp. I didn't bother asking my insurance people about that one. I dont think retarded negligence is listed. I also didn't post on the forums though telling everyone about m tragedy.

Neither did I do that when my house burned down. Instead I ran my animals to the vet/buried the ones that died, found a hotel to stay in for 5 months while the home was rebuilt, dealt with the insurance people, dug through the remains of the burned down house to find any pictures or other memorable things from my deceased father, and life went on.

That said, everybody jump on board. Lets hear about every bodies tragedies! Maybe one of the jackfucks that sit here telling people like me not to read this guys post since I'm 'negative' will donate ps2's and ds's to all of us!

exo commented on Turok Teammate Killing Feature Patched Out @Witzbold: I don't care if you think its creative or not - someone obviously did. And that someone is actually in the business of developing and releasing real working large scale release video games. So whether you and his idea of creative are the same is null - the fact is, he gets paid for his opinion.

'Common Sense' is that gamers aren't going to sit around their camps blowing each others heads off over an achievement.

Common sense is at least giving gamers the achievement to deal with and letting them decide on how to handle it, not censoring it for them

It seems the kotaku community now knows witzbolds achilles heel - it is TKing. Lol, everyone who receives the end of your banhammer will be looking to join your teams from now on...lol.

exo commented on Turok Teammate Killing Feature Patched Out I totally agree with Ham. It is up to gamers to decide what achievements are worth going for or stooping down to. Witz seems to be under the impression that developers shouldn't even consider mentioning team killing, totally ignoring the fact that it is actually up to the gamer to go do it.

Guess what - there is an achievement for failing a song on easy in GH2. Guess what else - I never went for it.

I also think hams argument was much more level headed and in general stands more solid, while Witz is just lashing out with tons of expletives off-the-hip commentary that suggests gamers are too stupid to decide whether or not an achievement is worth going for. And I also totally agree that it is ridiculous when anyone, including you, can get so worked up over a friggin achievement. If you don't like it, don't play it.

Also - Witz makes it sound like the achievement devolves into everyone camping at their own base killing everyone who spawns. Its ONE friggin kill, not a jim jones cult style massacre back at the camp. I hate to be the bearer of logic, but a: team kills happen sometimes anyways (accident or not), and B: it doesn't ruin the game - it is simply a minor inconvenience.

Similar to Ham, I don't necessarily think it was a brilliant idea, but outright calling the developers a "bunch of tits" simply because some guy in a backroom came up with what he thought was a creative achievement is simply ignorant.

I have a feeling most of the people who got so angry about this aren't even going to playing the game. It was just another god damned soapbox for a buncha overzealous gamers to jump on and somehow feel as though they just made the world a better place.... **rolls eyes**

exo commented on Corinex High-Speed Wireless Network For Gamers These are not new, and they don't work well. Depending on how the electrical wiring in your home is setup, these may not work at all, or very slowly.

Old electrical wires cause signal interference.

Also, in my house there are three main lines that feed the different sections of the house, this is fairly common. This is why when a breaker blows in your house the whole place doesnt shut down, only a portion.

This means that if your devices are on two different sections, the signal has to travel back to the breaker box, and then out to your next device. Not only does all that distance screw up the signal, it also messes it up passing through the box.

The on box specs are if you have two plugs directly fed to eachother (like, the next outlet down in the same room), with brand new lines.

Which, in that case, your better off with a cat5.
total friggin rip.
