<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Wii MotionPlus Hands-On (Verdict: Melancholy Bliss)]]> To be honest, most of the comments, and, to an extent, the article, seems to be a lot of whining.

Should have it been this way on launch day? No doubt. But, it's here now. It feels no different to me then if I had to buy another controller for multiplayer, or if I wanted to get another game.

Gaming is based on what's new, and what's next, with each and every game practically being an add on to the core system in itself. So, this is one more piece to buy to make your Wii awesome. Oh noes. It looks sturdy enough that you should only have to buy one per Wiimote at most, and then you're done with it.

What I'd like to know is; does it have a pass-through for the 'chuck? I'm guessing not, which would be a bit of a shame, but ah well.

Buy it, get over it, and just enjoy it. I plan to.

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Can a Game Be a Tearjerker?]]> Disgaea, the ending you get if you accidentally kill one of your own allies. For some reason, that really, really got to me, and I never quite understood since through the whole thing, Flonne kinda annoyed me.

I think it was just that she had this utter, unflinching faith, only to be shot down hard. The song at the end is then so contradictingly sweet and light hearted, that I really lost it. Now it's hard to hear it without getting upset, since that was the first impression of the game's ending I got (got the good one after. That was just cute).

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Inside The 169-Page Thompson Report: Judge Recommends $43k Fine Also]]> @feartheraven:

Not at all. But that passion and will to fight probably shouldn't include making rude statements to the point of calling Judge Tunis mentally retarded, and sending her large pictures of man-sex.

He's been in law, what...30 + years I think the other post said? Seems like he must have cracked just recently (relatively speaking) to be resorting to that. It's not like he has been looked down upon all his career. I would be inclined to pity him, but...he really ought to know better at this point in his life. People should mature as they age, not start harrassing people.

Sometimes old people aren't allowed to drive anymore because of vision problems, and maybe senilty, I think. Maybe it's about time someone gently pat his back, and told him 'no more practicing law'. Granted, a 40k fine is less a pat on the back, and more a backhand to the face, but...he did call her retarded~

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Jackie Boy Gets A Visit From A Couple Of US Marshals]]> He's such an angry person...I can't help but feel bad for him, really. I mean, he is obviously committed to doing what he thinks is right, but not only is he wrong, but he's going about it in a very wrong way.

He actually reminds me of Vulcanus from Disgaea, but that could just be because I just beat the game >.>;

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Video Game Cosplay Record Brutally Beaten]]> Cosplay is all good and fine for those that like it. Personally, it all just ends up looking silly to me, unless it's a really well done suit with a facemask (like that master chief). That way, it preserves the illusion that it's not some geek (no offense to said geeks. Don't kill me >.<).

I dressed up exactly once as a game character for halloween a couple years back, as Dr. Salvatore (RE4, chainsaw, burlap mask).

On a side note, it's ridiculously hard to find a sack like he had on his head in NY o.o

]]>
<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Penny Arcade Adventures: On The Rain-Slick Precipice Of Darkness Review]]> Sounds kinda neat on one hand, but on the other...

4 x 8 is...32. So, going by kinda...standard, ignorant (not having played it myself) math, that's going to be around $90 after tax for a 32 hour rpg ._.

Humor is cool and all, but I think I'd rather get Lost Oddessy. But then, I'm a cheap bastard.

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on The Splatterhouse Press Release Is All Sticky]]> @EndersGame:

You're missing the main reason people are so excited about this. Most anyone who played it played it when they were younger. They have fond memories of it, because things were simple then. Go outside, play, eat, go to school, come home, and smack things into a wall in a squooshy mess.

Now, people have jobs. Jobs they hate. Maybe even GF's or BF's they hate. So when something from a much simpler, easier, more fun time suddenly comes back to them, it excites them, because they feel that certain something called nostalgia.

They remember how fun it was to flump down at their TG machines, and punch the snot out of stuff till they died, or if they had insane prodigy skill, beat the game.

That is why people are excited for the game, and that is why there will always be remakes. Is it partially, or even mainly due to lack of ideas? Very possible, but it doesn't make it any less fun if the game is made well. After all, moving around in 3d and regenerating limbs is pretty new to Splatterhouse.

So if you want, sit down with us, and punch some heads when it comes out. If not, well, that's your choice. Play something else.

...Oh well, I got mine.

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Question of the Day: Do You Think Computers Were Built Using Alien Technology?]]> Silly picture...

Are there aliens? I'd imagine that somewhere in the infinite space, yes...have they come here? Who knows. Honestly, I don't really care o.o;

As for the tech...I think it all kinda evolved from the concept of on/off switches in a general sense, didn't it? 1's and 0's and whatnot? I wouldn't think it would be terribly difficult for a very smart group of people to develop initially, and then it was just built upon, not unlike architecture and other things over the years.

<![CDATA[diablodevil2 commented on Take-Two Confirms GTA's Half a Billion Week]]> So far, I don't think I like it as much as San Andreas =\ They cut too much, I think.

The stat system, the BMX (it's stupid, but I loved those bikes, heh), the parachute, the jet pack, the ability to buy property, the option to defend your turf, planes, and the big open areas in the mountains and whatnot there.

I've played around a bit on multiplayer, and done the first 'execution', so far. So, if any of that stuff suddenly appears after that, hooray, but it's not looking likely ._.
