"@LittleBigPlaneteer: I'll give you one reason why Itagaki made this announcement the day NG2 released: he fufilled his contractual obligation of seeing the game thru the development process culminating in the products release.NG2 is now on the shelves and Itagaki has no more obligations as a developer, thus he can't be in default contractually. And given the fact that Itagaki drops this on the gaming media also means that he is probably not under contract with Tecmo to develop another game after the completion of NG2."
