<![CDATA[Comments from animagnum]]> <![CDATA[Comments from animagnum]]> <![CDATA[animagnum commented on Rocky To Trade In Boxing Gloves For Batsuit?]]> If Nolan doesn't want to make another Batman movie, I understand. Perhaps he'll make another one in 20 years so the teenagers of today can complain about how he destroyed their childhood.

I'm still holding out for Batman Year 100 with Tommy Lee Jones.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Battlestar Comics Resurrect Ghosts Of The Past]]> Did anyone else read the first run of comics (mentioned above) that took place during season two? They didn't try keeping with the continuity of the show for very long.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Mario Kart Control Schemes: FIGHT]]> I was skeptical about the Wii Wheel at first -- figured I'd try it and then put it back in the box. I think it's fine. It might not be the best control scheme, but for me it is a lot more fun.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Ed Boon On MK Vs. DC Making Sense]]> Yeah, that mid-air kombat looks pretty sweet. I could almost count the number of sharks Sub Zero and Batman were jumping.

Eh, I'll still give it a shot though. I'm a sucker for MK games.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Epic's Mike Capps Reiterates Hate on Wii]]> Everybody I know bought an Xbox 360 and they can't turn it on because the damn things RROD'd. Anecdotal evidence FTL.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Sleeper Agent Soul-Searching in Battlestar Season Premiere]]> Poor Tigh. He's easily my favorite character and yet he gets dumped on show after show. :(

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Admiral Adama's Death Race With A Rocket Bike]]> This totally explains the end of season 4.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on 50 Cent Sequel's Story Is AMAZING]]> The collector's edition had better come with an exact replica of the aforementioned jewel-encrusted skull or I will be calling GameStop to cancel my preorder. In fact, I might just end up trying to track these people down and find out why I was ambushed.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Meteor Man: Biggest Waste Of Talent Ever]]> I remember really enjoying this movie as a kid. I dunno, I guess my bar for entertainment is fairly low.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Supressed "Fanboys" Movie May Get a Release After All]]> I don't know a whole lot about this movie other than what I have read on i09 and Wired, but the part of the story about a nerd dying of cancer sounds eerily similar to another fan film called "Saving Star Wars" that was released a few years ago. It even has a similar plot from what I can tell. It wasn't very well done, but it was at least commercially released. The more I read about "Fanboys" the more it seems like it shares a lot in common with "Saving Star Wars". Angry fans.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on You Are The Bus Driver]]> Did the GUI artist even bother to change the default values of some of the Photoshop layer effects? I mean, Christ, at least make it look like you cared... oh... I get it... nevermind.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on 15 Great Movies You Didn't Know Were Science Fiction]]> The Conversation is one of my favorite movies. I had never thought to classify it as science fiction, but nevertheless I think it is a movie that sci-fi fans would really enjoy. It has a fantastic soundtrack.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Indiana Jones To Disappoint, Star Wars To Live For Years]]> @kingzilch: I completely agree. If Lucas has somehow destroyed a person's fragile childhood memories, then he or she has a lot more problems than just Star Wars and Indiana Jones.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Indiana Jones To Disappoint, Star Wars To Live For Years]]> Well, props to Lucas for saying that. He could be admitting that the movie is not very good, but on the other hand, I think a lot of naive fans are going to walk into the theater expecting the "Second Coming" as he suggested. Even if the Star Wars prequels were the absolute best sci-fi films of all time, hardcore fans still would have left theaters feeling they were entitled to the movie they had imagined in their own minds for all those years. That is a risk one takes in resurrecting an old franchise.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Free Humanity from Neosapien Rule!]]> Well, there went my work day. I loved this show.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Professor De Marco and The Curious Cell Phone]]> @futurebiblehero: They are called ARGs (alternate-reality games). They are often used to promote things like games, music, and movies. The Dark Knight marketing campaign is definitely an ARG but it was by no means the first. Check out this site if you are interested in these types of games: [www.argn.com]

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on EndWar May Actually Work]]> @nerdtacular: Good call. When I saw a demo during GDC I noticed that the way the interface is set-up, even if the player makes a mistake, he or she can easily fill in the blanks with the controller. That seems really useful considering it not only shows you your options, but also keeps you from re-issuing the entire command if it just so happens that the game doesn't understand.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Professor De Marco and The Curious Cell Phone]]> I imagine it is an ARG. Either that or you have a new way to make cheap long-distance calls.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Nickelodeon Preps Gaming Glut]]> @sethmad: I disagree. In total, yes, $100 million is a lot, but $160,000 individually -- even for web games -- isn't necessarily a lot of money.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Street Fighter Movie Finds Its M. Bison]]> Wah wah wah, why are they ruining my childhood?? My memories are so fragile that anything new will simply kill me! Wah! As a fan, I feel I am entitled to better! How could they cast that guy -- he does not look like M. Bison, wahh!!!

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on EndWar May Actually Work]]> I've seen the voice-command stuff in EndWar in person, and even in a room of 200+ people, it still worked without a hitch. It's not the type of game I personally enjoy, but I think it still looked pretty G-D amazing.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Turbine Continues To Impress With LOTRO Book 12]]> Bahhh, I hate [name of MMO mentioned in blog post]. I play [a different MMO] and it is so much cooler! The [some feature] is better and I think the [another feature] is the greatest! I heard [blog topic] is totally stupid and no one ever logs in! I need to vehemently defend my spending $15 a month on another game and then try to convince you, the reader, that my game is cooler so I feel better about my self! WahhhHH!

<![CDATA[animagnum commented]]> I probably received this set for Christmas/Birthdays a dozen times. Every time the person who gave it to me offered to take it back, I declined. That was the cool thing about Legos. The more of these I had, the more cool catapult doods I could put around my gigantic multi-colored Lego brick castle!! Lol!

<![CDATA[animagnum commented]]> Auto Chassis for the win! This set was incredible -- it had a manual transmission!

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Best LEGO Sets in History]]> @ars.gaijin: It's there, diagonally down and to the right of the motor set. I think the imagine is from the instruction manual cover.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Frak Off! We've Got the Best Swear Words from Scifi]]> I'm gonna go out on a limb here and state that Bantha Poodoo came in the original trilogy. RotJ, Jabba's Palace?

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Codemasters To Reveal New MMO In March]]> @Norellicus: Have you ever heard of SOE?

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Codemasters To Reveal New MMO In March]]> LotRO is Turbine's game, but I believe Codemasters publishes it in the UK. They do not "run" the game as several of you have suggested. I can't blame them for always mentioning it considering it's hands-down better than any of the crap MMOs that they have put out themselves.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Wes Craven Getting A Shocker, Again]]> Man, that movie was a classic. I remember how you could always tell who the shocker was because he had a limp that seemed to transcend his physical form.

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Barack "Wii" Obama, Hiilary "360" Clinton, and John "PS3" Edwards]]> @mcmurder: "Also, I own an Xbox 360 and I completely despise Hillary Clinton with every fiber of my being"

Well, the article hath been written and the ink hath dried. Every time you turn on your 360, you're turning on Hillary.

]]>
<![CDATA[animagnum commented on Barack "Wii" Obama, Hiilary "360" Clinton, and John "PS3" Edwards]]> I guess that makes Mike Gravel the Sega Dreamcast: Older, cooler, but widely ignored.

Rudy Giuliani is one of those plug-and-play TV games that only plays "9/11: Terrorist Fighter: The Legend of 9/11″

<![CDATA[animagnum commented on LotRO Gets Prettier With Nvidia and DX10]]> To make a general correction (not for the post, but for some of the comments): The DirectX10 mode is separate from the normal client. Users aren't forced to play in DirectX10, upgrade to Vista, or deal with settings that are not optimal for their system. LotRO also has a smaller, low-res client that is ideal for installing on low-end machines and laptops that might not have the specs to run the game with all sliders to the max. It is easily as scalable as WoW if not more.
