"I wanna cast magic missile!!!"

Someone in Blizzard did that on purpose. And that's awesome.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on See Diablo III's New Wizard Trailer]]> Too damn dark. Did Blizzard cave and reduce brightness?

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Diablo III's Third Class - The Wizard!]]> It's a possibility (just shooting in the dark here) that it's an evolution style new class.

For instance, Sorceress was at a competent level. Best spells for sorceress would be nerfed entry level spells for wizard. So wizard gets spells like...Firaga?

Or maybe I'm spouting fanboy tripe as I'm so unimpressed with this "new" class.

Importing that shiz.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Scratch: Ultimate DJ Wikkiwikki-Wahs On To PS3 & 360]]> I'll buy it. Sometimes IIDX's songs get old. It'll be fun doing some American Pop songs for a change.

Been really digging Pink's So What. Rhianna'd be a good remix too. And some Flo'Rida?

The game's gameplay is unoriginal. Look at my frickin' name, I'm of course gonna say that. But the true beauty in music games is the range of music.

Give me a IIDX USB keyboard and some PS3 IIDX games, I'll import them. Give me this game, I'll buy that too. They're all fun and almost always have a mode to make your own charts.

Now if the game has all covers...effe that.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Even USA Today Has LBP Beta Codes]]> Sent in a request to USAToday just about 1 hour and 15 minutes ago.

Just got a reply with my key right this minute.

They're still giving out keys, so don't give up hope yet!

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Arcades Outside Japan "Practically Dead"]]> The arcades CAN become a booming industry again with America's economic problems. Entertainment industry thrives during hard times, as people want distractions. They do, however, need a new business model.

$1.00 for 2 (3 if you get bonus stage) songs on Pump It Up is not worth the money. You figure you get $1.00 for about 7 minutes of gameplay. So $10.00 gets you 70 min of actual playtime. Assuming no fails and you play music games. Playing a game like racing is meant to be fast, you get 5 minutes. Shooters are even worse, with both a clock and lives going against you (Police 911 needs a slower clock).

Thus, for a realistic max of 1 hour 10 minutes for $10, you're better off seeing a movie.

There are however a couple of models that will work-

1. Lower prices. Everyone, let's get a big old Duh. 50 cents for the majority of games is better. Gamers get more value and they think far less of sinking quarters than they do games with actual dollar slots on them.

2. Flat rates. As one of the arcades near my home does, charge a flat rate for admittance. $26 to get in for the entire day, freeplay for everything.

Arcades can work. And the interest WILL be there nowadays. But as many posters already said, it's pricey. Far too pricey. Especially with the quality of arcade games in America. Get some proper upkeep in an arcade, some halfway decent games imported, and lots of multiplayer shooters and racers and you're good.

Also, a liquor license. A lot of arcade gamers can and will drink now. Start serving after 7 PM, that way the kiddies have their time too.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on New Shaun White's Snowboarding Developer Diary Focuses on Community]]> Breaking down the barrier?
Didn't Burnout Paradise do this first?

That being said, not sure how it'll work for Snowboarding, but for Racing, it's a bit annoying. I start in the map wherever I was in Single player. But every time, they're all on the other side. Just a matter of poor luck, but now I gotta drive across town just to get to the multiplayer part.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Rumor: Nintendo Bringing An "Old Franchise" To Wii]]> Custer's Revenge. I don't see any mention of it being an old NES franchise.

Sure, it may not be a GAME franchise, but there have been many movies of the same genre. Especially in Japan.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on Which Of These Is Not A Trap?]]> Dun care. The chicks on either side are hot. I'd make out with either of 'em.

The guy in the center though, definitely a chick. So I'm assuming both chicks are guys.

*shrugs* I'd still hit it. Just not letting it hit me.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on 'Pokémon Platinum' Transforms Into 1.2 Million Copies]]> After seeing this, maybe portables are the true next gens.

They quietly garner sales and invade all homes with their fun, bug free games and portability. The lowest price of all consoles helps too.

<![CDATA[Setzer IIDX commented on PS3 Not Selling In Japan? Blame Japanese Publishers]]> Well it IS a software thing. People pay bank to build a good PC for gaming. If the PS3 stayed at the $600 price point but it had the market on exclusives, people would buy it.
People would buy it for GTA4 if it was exclusive. COD4 if it was exclusive. Stuff like that.
These HD output things are fanboy arguments. In the end, exclusives are all that do matter. Anyone with a TV big enough to tell the difference between 360 and PS3 output can afford to buy both systems.

PS3 needs some damn good exclusives and fast. And I'm predicting LBP is one game that can make or break PS3, it's their last great hope. They have exclusives, but none with as big a fanbase as GTA4. They need a new IP to create a giant following.
