Any of the Megaman series that involved the Yellow Demon (or some iteration thereof). Only one I ever beat was Megaman 2 simply because it didn't have him.

@Replica23: Except this 'new batch' isn't like an extra block you can download and then use anytime. They're mixed in randomly with the normal set, and will be replaced eventually. There's no retention; it's a one-shot deal.

This is what I love about Halo 3. These are all in-game shots, captured through the magic of saved films. The one with the Raptors and the one with the marine on the side of the Pelican is from the mission with the 3 shield towers, just with the perspective changed with the saved films tool.

I kind of did it the other way around. I was already in the market for an HD set, and 360/PS3 were just kind of a blip on the radar...after I got the HD set though and saw the difference, I had to get in on it, so bought a 360 a month or so after :P

@Cchrist: While a lot of people hate on EA just because it's the cool thing to do, some of us have a legitimate complaint.

Time and again we've watched that company swallow up smaller groups that were just fine as they were, but couldn't stand up to the big guns that EA brought to bear on them; then, after the acquisition, the IP(s) that the smaller groups had disappear off the face of the map, or the entire staff who worked on a game is fired and replaced for the sequel...EA has a bad habit of destroying good IP, while simultaneously seeming to spend all of their time pumping out the newest year's worth of sports titles.

Any company or IP that is about to get bought out by EA is in danger of being transformed into something very different from what it started as. Sometimes this is a good thing, such as C&C: RA2 (I think that was published after Westwood went EA...someone correct me if not). Other times, it isn't. Nobody knows for sure what EA plans to do with T2 once they get their hands on it, but there is cause for concern.

I agree there's a lot of rampant flaming and idiocy that goes on around here, not to mention "backseat journalism" and people just flat not reading the articles before they pass judgment...and the commenter base really has exploded in recent months. 100+ threads were a rarity, now they're pretty common, and it can be hard to read up on all of it...so maybe a culling is warranted. However, I fear where the line may be drawn. When Kotaku was invite only, I can't say I cared much to read the comments, and would pretty much stick to reading articles via RSS feed since I had no way to express myself about the topic amongst the other readers. I'd link it to personal friends, but it really got on my nerves to find a thought-provoking discussion that I couldn't participate in simply because I hadn't passed some noteworthy information to the tipline to make me deserving of an invite. When comments were opened up, it was quite enjoyable to finally be able to participate! It's tempting to just post "lol" sometimes, but knowing the caliber of comments the staff hoped for, I strived to refrain from silliness and only participate when I actually had a sincere opinion; this was beneficial not just for my posting here, but helped bridge my "evolution" of interaction with the denizens of the internet at large, since I was largely an IRC tard before that point, speaking in shorthand and such. tl;dr- I'm all for culling the people who just act like assholes for the fun of it, or the ones who can't simply express their opinion neutrally and be done with it; but I voice caution as to how far we push the limits of our culling, as we risk cutting out the people who might have something interesting to say, but don't have one of those stars by their name.

Personally I find gratuitous nudity to be along the lines of toilet humor, and I don't like either one at all. If I wanted porn, I'd go watch porn; when I'm playing a game, stuff like that breaks the suspension of disbelief as it calls my own "primal instincts" to the forefront, and it's ultimately a turn-off, both to the sexual content itself and to the game as a whole.
