<![CDATA[Comments from Kyle81]]> <![CDATA[Comments from Kyle81]]> <![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Crecente, N'Gai Talk GTA 4]]> @Cogito: The DLC is also likely very far off. If it's as large as they try to say, it could be more than 6 months before we ever see the DLC.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Crecente, N'Gai Talk GTA 4]]> What, Jason Priestley wasn't available?

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on US SingStar Lineup Looks...Good?]]> @KaneRobot: Two play coop singing duets is the large draw, plus large variety of music that isn't just rock is the point. Wife wants this actually, she likes to sing in Rock Band with us guys but she always is sad that it's often rock songs that she doesn't even know and would like variety.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Mario Kart Wii Launch Starring Jason Priestley]]> @Velops: That would be awesome.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Mario Kart Wii Launch Starring Jason Priestley]]> @Bon5ai: Pro is not exactly what you would call it...

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Mario Kart Wii Launch Starring Jason Priestley]]> Wow Jason Priestley? No one of worth was available?

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SIXAXIS Brings Nothing to GTA IV (But Frustration And Burning Helicopter Chassis)]]> @Brian Crecente: MS slide you guys some money to make a giant article about hating on the six axis controls when they are completely optional?

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SIXAXIS Brings Nothing to GTA IV (But Frustration And Burning Helicopter Chassis)]]> you know this is the first review that has complained about the six axis controls. Many of the professional reviews so far have said they are pretty good.

Also pretty stupid to make such a nasty article about it when its OPTIONAL

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on New Sonic Unleashed Screens]]> @Ashurahori: Sonic Rush was complete garbage. People just suck it down cause it was 2d, but Sonic Rush was a real shitty Sonic game. Some of the worst level design ever in a Sonic game.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Which Version Of GTA IV Should You Buy? We Compare The PS3 and 360 Versions]]> @Hickeroar: EGM, 1up, Gamesradar, Gamesreactor, and Gamespy also claim the PS3 version performs and looks better in various aspects. They often mention different things so its hard to judge, but almost all reviews so far state that the 360 version has more pop in.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Grand Theft Auto IV Review: Life, Liberty City And The Pursuit Of Happiness]]> Getting the PS3 version now. IGN, EGM, 1up, Gamesradar, Gamereactor, and Gamespy all say in their reviews that the PS3 version has much less pop in and overall better visuals.

Example of pop in on the 360 version: [a.imagehost.org]

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Are You Buying Xbox 360 or PS3 GTA IV?!]]> @interstate78: Silver Xbox live doesn't even let you play online, and you gotta wait on demos to be available to you now. And its better than PSN? Yea fuck playing online!

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Are You Buying Xbox 360 or PS3 GTA IV?!]]> I'll wait to get it, not in a rush. Got some friends and family with 360s and some with PS3s, so whatever. I'll probably wait to see which one runs better.... rumors saying PS3 version runs better, but I'll wait to see which one runs smoother and then decide.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @CoinSlot: Wow seriously shut up. GRAW multiplayer is nothing but a copy of SOCOM online multiplayer. I used to play the old GR and they were somewhat original in gameplay, but GRAW simply copied SOCOM. GRAW was very different game in single player mode, but online, GRAW was just a SOCOM clone with nicer graphics.

@Barf#1: Warhawk looks great cause of limited scope. Only 5 maps, and much of those maps are large stretches of land with the same exact texture. Gran Turismo Prologue is a large download, and its not even a full game. And COD4... is on a DVD and Blu Ray disc, it's multiple gigs of info on disc. I have no doubt that they are trying to force confrontation to be under 1gb download, and with so much character customization and large maps they are making, thats alot of data. Just four small cod4 maps was almost 400mb.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @smashbruvah: Right, forgot about that... Slant Six right?

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> Framerate seems rough so far, hopefully thats smoothed out. The gameplay looks good though, still has the classic SOCOM tactical style to it.

The best thing so far though is the sound effects. Those gun sounds are actually the recorded sounds of the guns being used in the game. The team went out and recorded all the guns being fire in real life for use in the game.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @GHETTO.CHiLD: It took almost half a year for COD4 to get new maps, zipper plans new maps right away... what the hell are you talking about.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @Snukadaman_: And it looks like what? Doesn't look last gen at all, but yea its rough. But as already said, this game is a lower priced game that is being delivered through PSN. It's not a fully disc based game so it's not going to have a dvd full of textures.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @Jackel2072: The textures are likely not going to get awesomely good in this game. People forget that this game is being distributed over PSN. They aren't going to release a full bluray 25-50gb game over PSN.

People expecting uber visuals or comparing it to disc based games are just kidding themselves.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SOCOM Confrontation Gamplay Vid]]> @AEREC: In what way? It's standard looking SOCOM gameplay

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Metal Gear Online Beta Is Go]]> @deek: With MGS4, MGO starter pack will come with 5 maps from what I recall. More maps, weapons, character customization items, etc will be added in the next couple months.

Eventually MGO will be released as a stand alone product that you can buy at retail, and it will have collected all the extra stuff that is released online. Course you can just take the starter pack that comes with MGS4 and upgrade it with DLC.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Metal Gear Online Beta Is Go]]> @DarkDragon9906: If you use auto aim people take longer to kill. Headshots of course are one shot affairs generally. I really have been doing great by simply using third person mode. Fire full auto near a persons upper torso, and they will take heavy damage and good chance for head shots. I've gotten 3-4 kills in one M4 clip already, without using FPS mode even. Make sure you got the right skills chosen.

Also pure sniper in MGO has always been tough, game is fairly fast paced and people can do crazy moves so it can be hard to kill folks. Best to shoot and move on with snipers... Also the maps in the beta are not sniper friendly at all.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Metal Gear Online Beta Is Go]]> @jwhall: SOP gives you a view of where your teammates are at all times... even if they are behind cover you will see an outline of the player to keep you informed. Also if a player near you in your SOP is captured or killed, you are given an indication of where it took place.

For example I was sneaking through some rubble in one map and a team mate to me far right got killed, the SOP let me know he just died and gave me an indicator of where he died... so I quickly turn to the location to see the enemy who killed him and I finish him off before he can fire on me.

It's basically just extra tactical information. If you got the right gear you can hack into an opponent's sop and you can take their information for your team... like letting you know where they all are.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Blockbuster Brings Video Games To Sacred New Release Area]]> @VioletArrows: They are generally arranged that the new release game shelf is now next to the games section of the store. Most block busters are rearranging the store layout to have a gaming section.

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Live GTA IV Player's Xbox 360 Goes RRoD]]> @ktr: Cause 360's don't red ring lol.

I'm on my 3rd, and this 3rd one is having disc read errors now every once in a while.... looking bad for the drive.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Metal Gear Online Beta Is Go]]> Lot of people seriously suck at this game. Obviously many never played the original MGO or Portable Ops.

For new players: DO NOT USE AUTO AIM. Auto aim is horrible, it's not accurate at all and your just going to get torn apart. I keep playing with new players who run at me shooting and hitting, but then I just aim and bam, headshot.

If you wanna do decent at MGO, use the third person aim or use fps mode.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Metal Gear Online Beta Is Go]]> Why do people compare everything to COD4 now?

MGO beta is great! If you played MGO before it's just 10 times better now

<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SingStar Hits PS3 May 20]]> @zanzibarlegend: It's not about the graphics, it's about the game play.... oh shit look at that cover!

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @demonknightinuyasha: The WoW board game is ok, but really think its not really that good till you add in the expansions. The expansions really greatly improve the WoW board game.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on SingStar Hits PS3 May 20]]> @Demaar: Rockband is not a Karaoke game really, and Singstar supports 2 players play for singing.

Also I can't believe people just don't understand it, but Rockband is nothing but rock music. You know theres other classes of music out there right?

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @Veltis: The cost to produce board games like Warhammer Quest really skyrocketed. Back then board games couldn't be sold for the large bucks these specialty games are sold for, and these games also had to be sold at big retail chains. The board gaming market suffered, board games got cheaper, smaller, etc. Hobby shops though in past years at least have brought back the board game, and the big complex board games have made a big comback now.... course they are expensive at $80 a box in many cases.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @Cameroo: FFG does put out some duds though, but usually they are the ones they published, not developed internally.

The recent released "Dust" is pure and utter crap. Really boring and broken. It's Axis and Allies without anything that made Axis and Allies good. It plays like a game of risk with more randomness.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on BattleFantasia Is 2D Fighting Pretty]]> Thank god the PS3 is region free for gaming. Instant buy, looks kooky fun.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @TheSmiterer: Board gaming is not something you usually do in a "scene", really its more of something you do with a group of friends. Lot of these board games now take quite a while to play, and you really gotta get a group of dependable friends to play.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @Veltis: No one plays small warmachine battlegroup games anymore. The whole WM/Horders thing has gone into larger battles now, and the cost has gone up greatly for that game. It used to be a selling point to play Wm that you just bought a battle box and went at it, but seriously, that hasn't been the case for years now.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on StarCraft Board Game Demo]]> @Dr Terror: They kinda broke the game with its later 2 expansion rules, but to the new campaign rules expansion is pretty darn awesome.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Grand Theft Auto IV To Benefit PS3s Sales Most, Say Analysts]]> @Spartan1308: They are not saying the PS3 version is going to sell more, read the article. They say it's merely going to help move more hardware for the ps3 than the 360.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Simple 2000: The Japanese Hardware Chart]]> @SilverStar95: 360 going down too. The portables and wii are killing off the next gen consoles.

]]>
<![CDATA[Kyle81 commented on Simple 2000: The Japanese Hardware Chart]]> @Mpalm.: It got really good reviews, but supposedly there was only less than 100k preorders at retail in Japan. Sadly the game is likely going to sell well for a week and suddenly dissapear.
