<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Sin City Gets Unreal]]> Ok, now that you all concluded that this game needs some kick ass art direction.. i'm wondering what the hell you'll be doing as a player in this game. I haven't read the books (which is a crying shame, i know), but who's character arc is elaborate enough to smear out over, say.. 20 hours of gameplay?

<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Convergence, Smergence...Hollywood Director Paul W.S. Anderson Believes Games and Movies Should Remain Separate]]> The man picks horrible franchises to base his movies on, and then makes movies which are subpar in every department. Admitted, he's no Uwe Boll, but he's close enough.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on What's The Inspiration Behind Kane & Lynch?]]> @the-red-terror: (Ex-) Cons make for great storytellers aswell. Sure, they'll feed you copious amounts of bullshit, but they'll do it convincingly.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on The Art Direction of Kane & Lynch]]> I'm really, really happy that this game is starting to create some buzz. I'm praying for it to be good, it totally has the feel of a Michael Mann movie, and everyone can agree that Heat and Collateral set a perfect atmosphere for a videogame. What I've heard of the voice acting, that's pretty damn solid too.. Not to mention IO has all the development experience from Freedom Fighter's team-based gameplay to put in this one.

I will be pre-loading it on Steam :)

<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on EA Buyout Won't Hurt Bioware]]> Dear EA, do all us RROD-dodgers a favor and stay true to your opportunistic nature; release this on some more platforms please.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Kane and Lynch, Total Bastards]]> I can't wait till they unveil the multiplayer modes; Something is telling me IO has cool stuff in store for us in that department.

Other than that; i was already sold when they mentioned Michael Mann as a major influence.

<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Enrolling At Logos Academy]]> I really like how Garriot's home and free plainrides seem to receive more press attention than Tabula Rasa itself. The more and more it's release comes closer, the less i care about it. At this point, i just wanna go over to his place, have some BBQ and beers and talk philosophy for a while. After a while, i'll probably forget he has a game in development.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Bioshock Hang-Over]]> Crecente, please do write that feature. I've been meaning to read the Fountainhead, and Bioshock has pushed me over the edge.

<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on New ESA Boss Is A Total Nintendo Fanboy]]> @deviantCharles: Although i agree ESA's influence in Washington is far less than it should be, we as gamers should be happy to have someone walking the boards who actually knows how to communicate with the politicians.

And i certainly don't think the ESA is fighting a losing battle.. The videogame industry is growing more and more every year, and although it's under heavy scrutiny right now, it's not simply going to "go away" because mid-west soccer moms are frightened by the idea that videogames might turn their kid into a killing machine.

Videogames are a serious medium, and to some even a serious artform. I'm glad to have someone on "our" side that has not only the skillset to communicate that idea to influencal people in politics, but also a healthy love for the games themselves. Even if he is/we are fighting an uphill battle.

<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Spielberg Game Has Character From Far-Assed Future]]> The premise for the adventure game sounds very appealing to me. I like Spielberg's work as a director, and he picks his producing projects quite well... But still, i'm not expecting much from this until i see some screenies and actual gameplay examples.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Get Family Guy on Your Xbox Live]]> @Ashcraft: Family Guy is funnier than the Simpsons have been in a long time. The zillion popculture references the show makes are hilarious and Stewie and Brian are great original characters. If you're going to check it out, skip the whole first season alltogether; some of the voice actors left after the first season (to be replaced by someone better) and the show is way more polished.

@DynamoMatt: You have to agree the best part about Mayor Adam West, is that Adam West actually voices him. Amazingly hilarious.

]]>
<![CDATA[JCtheMC commented on Sony Not Hip to Violence or Porno Association]]> @ashcraft: The problem of console makers only allowing certain content on their systems can only be solved when the market goes wide open, allowing third parties to build hardware that plays PS3/Wii/360 games. A situation that's essentially akin to the PC market.
I can see how that's a situation the console makers wouldn't want to deal with.
