"@exion: Well, historically speaking the reason why french dropped out of the second world war is military tactictians dumbassery, and when they sent troops in flamboyant red at the start of the 1st world easy targets were made available in the woods but WW2 was even stupider since they built a line of concrete fortification along the borders with germany and italy where troops were concentrated and that happened to be totally useless when Germans attacked through belgium into france and the line got flanked."
