One time I saw some episodes of the animated DK Country TV show and I had to buy them. Why? I don't ask you why you buy shit, do I? As I walked up to pay I wished for the nice black woman to just ring up and let me go. Then she pointed it out to the other people there, "Hey, I remember this, don't you?" "Oh, yeah, my son had that game." "I used to play with my brother." "I didn't know there was a show about it." I was then asked about the show and why someone like ME was buying it for about a minute until I just bolted out the door without my change.

I have gotten strange looks when purchasing everything from Santa Claus Conquers the Martians to Ultra Bust-a-Move. (damn you cutesy box art!) While it may not be as bad as having the price checker mistake thumb tacks for Tampax, it's still pretty uncomfortable.
