Building You A Retro Adventure, One Level (And Awesome Song) At A Time

This is Rogue Legacy, a game which looks tough as nails, but seems to have a heart of gold.

Billed not as rogue-like (which are normally brutal) but as a rogue-lite (there’s still permadeath, but “with each passing your lineage grows and becomes stronger”), it looks great.

And sounds great too, courtesy of a soundtrack that’s half the work of Judson “Tettix” Cowan, whose work on Solace we covered a few weeks back, and half the work of the talented Gordon McGladdery

Rogue Legacy is currently up on Steam Greenlight, but the devs say “The game is virtually done, so we’ll get it out as soon as it’s Greenlit.”
