OK, last time we did this, we annihilated a web site. So this time, I'm hosting it as a gallery. Thank me later. But Russia just had Igromir 2008, which is its version of E3, more or less, and reader Innes noticed some fine photojournalism coming out of that. Now, if E3 is reconsidering its toned-down, library-quiet, de-sexed version of this year's convention, might I suggest hiring some of these booth representatives from the former Soviet bloc. Holy Bolshevik. Thank God they're holding controllers, otherwise one would think this was the Bada Bing. But I'm sure there were huge developments and reveals and news out of this thing, and I think we should start covering it pronto. So, so, so not NSFW (stupid double negative), even though there is no nudity (well, there's a bodypainted Far Cry leopard girl at the link, not in our gallery. But you can't really tell.) Also, I'm using the pro-tip for caching pages suggested by reader Tom back during the Kezins Cosplay Cleavage Debacle. Not only that, it's referencing a Google-translated page. We're sure the EA booth companions at Tokyo Game Show had great personalities. Lovely girls, the kind you could take home to mother. But those outfits! Unless they were designed by John Madden himself, the horrible pastiche of red, green, yellow, cyan and camouflage is inexcusable. The booth companion costume designers at Tecmo haven't deviated too far from the norm for Tokyo Game Show 2008. Heels, short shorts and tube tops are being worn in spades at TGS, with a handful of exhibitors (Sony, for one) keeping it a bit classier on the total amount of less flesh revealed. Tecmo went for the industry standard "nearly naked" look, opting for an extra, gossamer thin layer of tacky, shimmering polyester negligee. More »

About ten years ago my mother ran a dancing school summer camp with themes based on Disney movies, and each year around Aladdin time I would get the dreaded call..."Michael? We need a genie." I would then be dressed up by my mother and sister, painted blue, and sat down in a room full of little girls who were convinced I was an otherworldly spirit. Perhaps this is why the blue girl in this team of booth babes representing NCSoft's Aion: The Tower of Eternity wouldn't stop looking at me. Here is an excellent example of the classic booth babe, taken in front of the Eidos Age of Conan exhibit here at GC. Two women, both dressed in outfits that directly mirror outfits worn in the video game they represent. Nothing too racy, nothing unnecessary - they are representing Age of Conan, and just happen to be attractive enough to draw the average eye towards the booth. Personally? I walked past them three times before noticing them, because they are nowhere near as good-looking as my girlfriend, who reads what I write here almost religiously. Ghostbusters: The Video Game looks fantastic. Each time we've walked past the multiple kiosks showcasing the game at Comic-Con this year, we think "Must remember to play that at some point." What Sierra clearly understands, though, is how to appeal to Ghostbusters fans. Shorten the pants, expose some cleavage, then fill out the skimpy Ghostbuster uniform with women who look pretty for a living. We'll take one of whatever they're selling. More »

True story. We were witness to the dark side of being employed as a booth babe when one German flesh worker broke down sobbing in one of the temporarily constructed business booths after hours. After holding in the tears after an all day (we assume) grope session and series of harsh evaluations of her figure by German gamers, she'd had enough.
